On the cover of the current Time feng shui newsletter, MD explains the distinction between the degree of the front and the mountain that the door occupies. She said that if the front door faces West but is in another mountain area, the stars in the West are lessened and the stars of the mountain the door occupies dominate. Cures or activations for the West are placed at the front door and cures/activations for the mountain area are placed anywhere in that mountain area.

Question: I have been using my back (East) door to avoid activating the flying star 5 in the West. But my West 2 period door is actually in the SW mountain. So does that mean I can go back to using the front door without activating flying star 5?

Probably next we will need to enter like Santa and use the chimney.

Hi, Marielena. The distinction discussed in the newsletter is between the facing direction (the mountain) and the 9-grid area of the door. A door that faces W could be located in many areas of the house, W, NW, SW, or really anywhere. If a door faces W and is in the W the yearly disaster star is that much stronger. If a door faces W but is in the NW then the yearly disaster star is tempered by the relationship star in the NW but the disaster energy still impacts the home or workplace.

Using your W front door, even though it's in the SW, will still activate the disaster energy. And remember that the 9 star is in the SW which doubles whatever it falls on. So you actually have double disaster there plus double whatever your Period stars are. Keep using your East door.

Thank you! And does the 9 also double the 20 year collaboration/relationship star in the SW?

And does the collaboration/relaitonship star soften the conflict star in the SW and the W?

Don't worry, I am not arguing for my front door. Just trying to get a grip on how this works.

Blessings, marielena
