One thing that catches my attention is that we, as humans, are sometimes slow to adopt new, better ideas.

Some people tell me that I am very negative about science and the people who make their livings improving our scientific ideas. People working in the field of science are the most frustrating for me, because what they say and what I see come into conflict. They say that as soon as better theory comes along, and and the results are vefied experimentally, they will adopt the new theory. The best new ideas are not found in scientific journals, Scientific American or Discover. Perhaps our peer review journals and university tenure systems help keep current paradigms in place.

Here is a new a revolutionary example of where that is happening. I have realized for sometime that there are some flaws in the way physicists think about small things (such as atoms, photons and quarks) and also large things (such as galaxies and the universe).

Most of the new, basic work involving redefining electrons as standing waves (the combination of an in wave and an out wave) was published on the internet. Now someone has come along and taken these ideas from many different sources, including things little known is scientific circles such as sacred geometry, crop circles, fractals, higher dimensions, and put together the beginning of a framework for a unified theory of physics at a molecular and a galactic level.

See the work published at www.blazelabs.com
This work is a difficult read for people not familiar with the physics and math involved.

This work also describes the mechanism for gravity. In this work, by Engineer Saviour Borg, he also explains why the big bang did not happen and how to build an “anti-gravity” machine (in theory, not in practice).

Some scientists think, if only we could smash particles at a higher energies, we could figure out what is going on. S. Borg's work is absolutely ground breaking that invalidates a large chunch of the research that has gone on in particle physics for the last 60 years.

I also find this same pattern of not updating our beliefs in spiritual circles of people. When new and better ideas come along, we do not chuck the old ideas and move to the new better system.

Don't get me wrong, I do not propose hopping from spiritual practice to practice, just keeping an open mind for what may be holding you back.

Dear Coyote,

I hope you are well.

My response is simply, "What's the rush?"

Life has a way of settling into an equilibrium of being,
and it will grow or not grow just as fast as it will.

You may be correct, and the rest of humanity is deluded, sleeping, and blind.
Pity us. Pray for us. But above all, give us time to catch up to you.

After all, the Universe has been around for a very long time,
and from the looks of it, it's gonna be around for along time to come.

With infinite patience, everything happens immediately.

Best,

HF

Coyote,

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Hartreefoch,

No rush, we actually like war, disease and poverty. We like being manipulated by world governments over silly things like money and oil. We don't mind using leeches or draining the evil blood infected by spirits and calling it fact.

Progress only matters when you actually want to get somewhere......

OTHER than where you already are.

Cheers.

Lord_Shandor,

What I find most interesting about people is that those who are most vocal about life's ills
are usually those who don't actually do anything to help fix them.

The other thing I find interesting is that those who spend the most time and effort trying to convince others about something are usually just trying to convince themselves.

The rest of us are too busy trying to make a difference where we can.

I hope you're making a difference where you are, too.

Best,

HF

I would say that those making the difference are the people causing the problem. I have heard it said that Negative energy is forceful and positive while stronger, is more passive. When looking back through history all advances and corrections to the lunacy of the times was a very slow and long process, not because the good guys weren't doing enough, but because the bad guys were willing to do anything to get what they want. The middle men, the sheep, those asleep, either don't know there is a battle going on or don't care to be bothered by it.

Are you suggesting that those actively contributing to the problem are somehow fixing it simply because they are doing something? We do have this attitude in America, look at everytime a tragedy happens, everyone is of the opinion that "something must be done". No one seems to be able to accept that "[deleted] happens, deal with it" and move on. Look at the hysteria that followed 9/11 and the willingness to throw away the Constitution and remaining fragments of rights we still have. Are you aware the Patriot Act was unanimously passed and yet not one person even looked at what it said?

Very often it is true that many speak loudly to others to convince themselves of what they don't believe to be true.....hmm, now I am sure I have seen someone here who writes lengthy posts in favor of the status quo... if I could just remember who.

By the way here is an excellent article speaking specifically to this topic .

Lord Shandor,

Yeah, it was my previous efforts here to try to make a difference that caused me to realize that I was largely wasting my time and energies, which could be much better spent elsewhere. You see, we have a long history of debating these issues here, and we are still both firmly entrenched in our original beliefs. So, I learned through our (and other) interactions that discussion, while interesting and engaging, is largely wasted effort. I would rather spend my energy where the reward is at least positive. And thus I've learned my lessons and moved on.

I would like to *briefly* suggest that war, disease, poverty, and all the rest of life's ills have been part of our existence from the beginning, and in every generation, there have been those who try and/or get others roused up to try to eliminate them. The fact that such ills are still very present problems suggests how successful they were. So, while your intentions seem honorable, they are certainly nothing new. I for one hope you succeed in truly making a positive difference where you are, and I am trying to do the same, the best I know how. Let us channel our energies to help each other toward these ends, and not add to the list of ills.

Best,

HF

Isn't it a little naive to indulge in fantasies of utopia?

War, disease, and poverty are all part of the human condition. But it goes deeper than that, it is the condition of life itself.

We live in a world not of marshmallowy infinitely abundant creamy goodness. This is not because people do not believe as you do or that they indulge in negative vibrations or bad thoughts. It's simply a reality that we live in a world that has limited resources. We are each creatures who use our power to struggle against others so that we can get what we want. Look at the nature of life itself, life persists by feeding on life.

This is the way things are. It's been this way since the first organic being came into existence, and it'll be that way until the last trace of organic life is wiped out, probably by way of some cosmic event without meaning or purpose... other than the laws of physics at work.

Your own body is a conglomeration of struggles. It's an incredibly violent environment. Every moment of your life, organisms are being ruthlessly killed inside of you so that you may live. Should those murdered organisms go unchecked, they would certainly joyfully multiply and multiply, feeding upon you until your life functions failed... killing both you and the colonies of micro-organisms that had bred and fed inside of you.

This sort of thing isn't the exception, it's the rule.

Looking at things, however, by and large, the world is much better off than its ever been.

What amounts to hurt feelings in here used to amount to a corpse or two way back when duels to the death were fought over disagreements like this. Modern medical science can cure more ills than it ever could. We no longer have to worry about dying just because we get a simple infection.

We are on a movement upward. So long as human knowledge gets passed on to coming generations, I think we are going to be just fine. Our societies my struggle and have to adapt to a world that is changing more and more as time goes on, but I believe our species will learn to manage change. We don't have to throw out the baby with the bathwater. A lot of things look bleak now, but our species has been through a lot, and we still have tricks up our collective sleeves.

There will, however, always be war, disease, and poverty, I think. There will always be power struggles. It's in our genes.

But, you know, I think it would be a good thing for tons of people to take on these beliefs and techniques that you propose. Because then you'd see that it would still be just business as usual. Might be disillusioning, but then you'd learn that you really didn't have to worry about it.

Right on, babyada!

... and add one more thing to the list of things which we must overcome if we are to survive: asteroid/comet impacts from space!

Of course, humans owe their current dominance on planet Earth to such an impact, and it is a mathematical certainty that more will occur. It's just a matter of time.

It would be a terrible cosmic tragedy if after eons of struggle and growth as a species, we finally transform Earth into a passable paradise, only to have it all wiped out in a day by a nasty chunk of space rock.

I think of all the things on our list of ills to remedy, global annihilation by such an impact should be near the very top.

But then again, perhaps such an event is just what this world needs to start afresh!
