I have another post that explains my motivation problem, but I have a question about something else. I watched a movie a couple weeks ago about some poor kids who lost their family in war and basically starved to death over the next couple months. Extremely depressing, but amazingly it motivated me to study extraordinarily hard the next day. Why? This kinda bothers me. I have wife and kid and feel they rely heavily on me succeeding, but the positive rewards of my studying don't seem to motivate me. However, this very depressing negative movie did? Is this healthy to be motivated by negativity or fear? Should I work to fix the root of this? Any suggestions? I have even thought to buy the movie to watch it more just to motivate me, but wonder if I shouldn't instead try to figure out the problem and fix it. Thanks.

You've discovered one of the more powerful motivators. An experience you would rather move away from. It's pretty normal to experience motivation in this way. In all probabilty the movie won't have a lasting effect. So you're not broken and don't need fixing

In the other posts you asked what paraliminals can help with your motivation.

I personally recommend Ideal Mindset course. This course has the necessary paraliminals that will help you towards your goals and more importantly the coaching on how to use the paraliminals inorder to work toward your goals well as the coaching to go with them. I found the coaching gave me a terrific insight as to just how you can use the paraliminals. Having specific information on how to use the paraliminal tapes made choosing the right paraliminal a whole lot easier.

The Natural Brilliance course is also good for moving toward goals and helps you get unstuck. It has its own set of paraliminals.

If you only want one paraliminal start with I suggest Getting Around To It (It's one of the paraliminals in the Ideal Mindset course.) Whatever you do it's up to you to take action.

The first time I listened to the Dream Play paraliminal, I only got about three hours of sleep. Maybe less. I had a profoundly HORRID nightmare. However, I immediately started working on the web-site I've been neglecting since the 12th of never.

There is nothing wrong with being motivated by fear. It would be better to be motivated by love, but fear prevents us from becoming compacent. Love will forgive our slowness. Fear does not.
