Yesterday I did the active exercise, felt great, and started doing small universe (or whichever meditation it is that comes first).
I've never been good at sitting meditations, but I occassionally give it a try. As far as I got with the meditation, I yawned a lot. Very deeply.
Today I did the active exercise again. I yawned a few times. Not nearly as much as during yesterday's attempt at meditation, but still quite a few deep yawns. I'm still yawning as I type this.
Does anyone have any ideas of what this is about?
Now I've just yawned so deeply that my eyes watered, and I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Maybe it's just a cleansing thing.
Any comments?

Your energy is moving. Be grateful and continue. (Short and hopefully sweet) You are perfection. Iam2

I hope that wasn't too curt an answer for you. I've had periods where I do a lot of yawning, with the watery eyes. It eventually passes, for whatever the reason. You are perfection, Iam2

I believe at some point Shawn made a posting saying Master Lin talked about releasing blockages/bad energy through yawning during SFQ. I'm sure you can search and find the topic - don't remember what Shawn exactly said.
Now I could do the search for you - but then how would you learn? :d

what DesertSphinx says is what I remember as well - yawning is a release of excess energy

I realized it yesterday: when I attempt the sitting meditation, sitting on the table next to me is a Himalayan Rock Salt Crystal lamp. That thing is great, but it does make me sleepy. So I sit there taking all these slow deep breaths of ionized air, and that's why I start yawning. I fall asleep easily and sleep deeply afterwards.

The rock salt crystal lamp sounds like an interesting thing.
I've never heard of it before. I looked it up and found that this kind of lamp releases powerful negative ions into the air when heated up, which carry oxygen particles. This is because salt attracts moisture in the air, and when the water is heated up it releases negative ion particles. Negative ions are found naturally in the forests, mountains, near the sea, and also found abundant in the air after the rain. The light color glow and ionized, clean, fresh air create a special atmosphere of calming meditative balance, tranquility, peace and well-being.

Hey LFK,
I'm very happy with my rock salt crystal lamp. I bought it after someone told me that he has several, because they clear up his allergies. This reduces my allergies. But, inhaling the air around it has picked up my mood, cleared my mind, and just generally helped me feel better.
Plus it has a nice glow when it's turned on.

Thanks, Spiral, for the info.
I would like to get one or two. There're a lot of vendors online. However, I will look around to see if they're available in local stores.
