Hi!

I read a lot of post about how to listen to paraliminals. When I read those post I realise that we may all have the same problem that is we want them to be as most effective as they can get every time we listen to them.

Alex wrote in a message:

"You don't even need the hum. Just focus on listening down the middle. If you want to listen to one side or the other do so. Quit being anxious about having something to listen to. Set your purpose and let the non-conscious mind do the listening.

Check the Technique Overview that comes with each Paraliminal for ideas what you might want to think about. A mantra is good and so is daydreaming. Just let it be what it is. No need to try to do anything once you've decided what your purpose for listening is."

Is this all there is to it?? Just set your intentions, liste in the middle, one one side or the other, daydream, sing a mantra, do your laundry (just kidding..!) etc.... and they well be as effective as they should be every time??

I am not an expert in Paraliminals or NLP but how can daydreaming makes it effective? If my mind is somewhere else, how can it get the message it hear?

Thanks everyone!!

Alex.

P.S.

I find Paraliminals to be the best thing that happend to my life cause it actually changed it for the best. I am so intrigued by this process that I have been searching the web for info on how it actually works (with examples) but I have not found anything. Does anybody knows sites where I can get more info on how all this works??

Your conscious mind is busy while daydreaming and you might be surprised how often it relates to the outcome you would like to have.

I always get a kick out of listening to Paraliminals because I just decide what my purpose for listening is and then see what I get. Since everything spoken on the Paraliminal is within the threshold of hearing you know the non-conscious mind has picked it up. It's like being busy listening to your music or TV and your ever loving parent tells you for the umpteenth time to take the rubbish out. You heard it but consciously you ignore it until the non-conscious mind nudges the conscious mind to react because they said "Now, or else."

The less I stress about getting something to work the easier it does work. I've notice that it's the same for everyone else. What we often try to do is force the results that can be a bit like pushing against a door that says pull. When you don't try to force the results you relax and this allows your mind to try more options.

Some interesting research done recently. They found that small children react much faster and more efficiently to a recording of their parents calmly saying to them get up and get out quickly there is a fire. Than the fire alarm. They are in the same deep sleep where you would think that it's impossible. The non-conscious mind is much more aware than we give it credit for.

Paraliminal belongs to Learning Strategies. The basis and the research that Paul put into their development is on the Paraliminal page. To learn more you might want to explore the some of the articles starting with this one. www.learningstrategies.com/Paraliminal/Article1.asp

The link is right at the top of the Paraliminal in the Paraliminal header box. There are a few links there.

I always try to float down the middle, but my mind starts going from one side to the other, from time to time... I don't know, maybe I'm forcing it. What else can I do to avoid listening to the words consciously? Perhaps concentrate on my breathing in order to let the words go through?

If you go from side to side, enjoy the ride. The conscious mind gets enough of it quickly and turns off. Focusing on your breathing is also an option.
