Why does different experts differ so much on feng shui. For instance I read in a famous feng shui book that the far-left corner in every room is the wealth position or direction for that room and this is applicable to everyone.

And when I looked at some of the websites they give different advices on the same subject.

There are many schools in Feng Shui. The book you came across belongs the most common school in the US, which is the Black Hat Sect. This was founded by Grandmaster Lin Yun, which essentially follows the same compass principles that you use in space feng shui. The difference is that the orientation is based on the front door, not the compass, which is why the SE general wealth sector always ends up in the far left.

I can't tell you all the different views on the subject, other than to say that there is classical Feng Shui and new age Feng Shui. Even within these broad categorisations, there are differences. You need to work out which system works for you. Some would say that you attract the Feng Shui school that reflects your destiny luck.

Does that mean that another school of feng shui may work very well for me, rather than the Diamond Fengshui which I am practicing now.

Something I have known Master Chunyi Lin to say of qigong: Choose one and stick to it. It doesn't have to be Spring Forest, and you can look around but be consistent once you have decided on it. Do not mix and match systems.

I think that is good advice for Feng Shui as well, especially if you are just beginning. Give anything in Feng Shui about 9 months before deciding whether it works or not for you.

Being a practioner of Black Hat feng shui for the last 10 years it his hard for me to accept the Diamond Methods although I fully agree with KWLee in regards to sticking with one system and not integrating too many energies when applying principles of Feng Shui. I do feel that 9 months is a long time to have to wait to see if the energy of the Chi is awakening the Bagua Points.

No matter what system of Feng Shui you use if the environment is kept clean an not messy you should see chi activation immedialty and building day by day thereafter.

It is essential to keep with one system so one does not have conflicting methods of directing the chi energy for the desired results.
