It is difficult for obsessive people to change negative thoughts to positive, for they obsess on the negative.

Has Chunyi addressed this?

Have any of you SFQ Forum members had success using Qigong with persisting negative thoughts.

I hope there will be discussion of this important topic.

Hi MB
I do believe that Qigong can help with negativism.
I would think that Chunyi would have addressed
this in his classes or the retreat.I have never
been to any of these. On the Your Healing
Power DVD he touches on it a bit.

There are many people on this forum that have
been to these.I am sure you will get the
answer you are looking for very soon.

I wish I could answer your question better but
i'll leave it to the ones that have been there.

Practicing Qigong does make you feel much more
peaceful so maybe it could help a negative
person in this way.

Take care

Here is my short answer from Chunyi teachings, "where the mind goes the qi will follow".

Now for the rambling . You can't destroy or eliminate negative thoughts. You are best to show them love. Regard them as fearful and ignorant children which should be loved and allowed to grow strong by experience and example. You should then give them the examples of strong mature thoughts.

More directly, think positive. Notice negative thoughts and choose to fill yourself with positive ones. Don't feed the weeds, just the grass and your lawn will be weed free.

Why do I keep wanting to talk in analogies? grrrrrr.

You are perfection.

Iam2, your answer is lovely. And here is an answer for you. Your analogies are lovely and very useful. They give life to your answer. They are the answer. Images speak to the brain. The original question of this thread wasn't my question, but your answer will be very helpful to me. Blessings and peace and gratitude.

There is a reason you are getting these thoughts. There could be an energy blockage causing this.. I know from experience -- before I got into QiGong, in my case it was all the emotional stress in my life built up. You can remove the blockage, but you can't remove the bad thoughts easily. You must recognize them for what they are and do not allow your mind to get "sucked into" a tangent of them. When you recognize a negative thought, change your thinking or visualize something else -- PREFERABLY something you like or anything positive. Over time, these thoughts will diminish, and go eventually go away. What you are thinking affects what you feel -- based on the thoughts you are allowing to enter your mind. Think of something that makes(or has made you) angry and you will begin to feel angry. Think of something that makes you feel happy and you will begin to feel happy.

If you are like me and used to store emotions, here's a tip that will dramatically help. When you feel or think of something you don't like, throw it away and change it. Remember, YOU are responisble for what you are thinking, which affects what you feel. (This works in 100% of all cases. If someone throws a brick at you, you get angry because you CHOSE to be angry. Never forget this!

I hope this helps!
