naturally posting such topics is never fun, but i hope someone can help.

i posted on this list about this last year, got some nice responses, and advice about putting mom on the sfq healing list, which ive done. mom's had cancer for a while. prognosis has never been good, but she's been surviving past few years by the grace of God. things have become a bit difficult now though. there's internal bleeding in one of the veins in the esophagus. its been controlled by rubber bands but these things arent permanent. after this a risky operation could be done, potentially life threatening. 10% mortality rate, which sounds positive enough but the doc's were making it quite clear how dangerous it is.

please someone, give me something good. i dont even know what. please tell me someone's been through this.

assuming things go OK, there's still the cancer. this time no lazing around, we NEED to get rid of this. its advanced and doctor's dont seem to think much of the positivity. but they also admitted the normal odds dont seem to apply to my mom.

what about visualizations, affirmations, anything? how do they work to make sure someone's veins dont bleed? and i dont even know whats going on in there, i just want to generally affirm things go good in there.

how about visualizing for the tumors? should i just 'attack' them in my mind? is that even a good thing? i mean im sure the doc's arent just going in and cutting the damn thing out for a reason, right?

id appreciate any help.

Hi, Dan,

I'd definitely stay on the SFQ healing list for starters.

Next, maybe you can look into some of the healing modalities that can be quickly learned. For instance, attunement to 1st Degree in Reiki boosts natural healing abilities quite a bit, and can be done in an hour or less.

Personally, I favor a form of acupressure called Jin Shin. It's not pressure per se, just touch, and can achieve many of the same results as acupuncture, without the puncturing. Try the book "The Touch of Healing" by Alice Burmeister, and your mother can either apply some of these techniques herself, or someone else can help her. They're quite simple, and very effective.

For visualization, I do like the LSC "Perfect Health" but I also find some CDs by Summer McStravick to be just wonderful. She has a technique called "Flowdreaming" that on the surface seems to be just plain vanilla visualization, but in practice, they seem to be much, much more. When I use these CDs (or do it on my own), I'm always just wowed by how effective they are. If you try this route, be sure to start with her book (which includes one of the CDs).

I hope there is something here that might help.

Hi Dan;

You might think about taking your Mom to the SFQ Healing Center and having Master Lin work on her personally or he will do phone sessions as well.

There are diets that claim to cure as well. One I recently ran across is the Gershen Diet (not sure of the spelling) they use carrots and apples juiced to drink combined with coffee enema's to remove toxins. Coffee used this way is said to detox to liver which will cure the rest of the body if working properly. You can do a search on this very old method to find all the specifics.

Healthy cells must take in energy but they must also excrete waste to make room for that new energy.

Having your Mother visualizing herself with "Radiant Health" is a great way to send a signal to her own body that is what she wants it to do.

Hope that is of some help.

Yup I'm on the SFQ list. Do you feel its that effective? All I do is post my Mom's name on that every week. No active participation. Is that really enough, and effective?

Well that certainly sounds good. Is 1st degree reiki of much benefit though? If it can actually be done in an hour thats amazing! I woulda thought much longer. Would I also be able to do distance healing w/ that?

Again, that sounds quite great. I'm tending to stay away from books nowdays b/c I have such a long list of recommended ones that I dont know which to start with. But generally from what I understand of acupressure, isnt that for aches and pains? Cancer can be treated by acupressure?

Thanks so much for your help!

I've talked about phone sessions in the past. Unfortunately they're quite expensive, about $70 a session from what I remember (or maybe 90?) and when I spoke to the operator, she spoke to Masters Lin or Nance and they said around 6 sessions would be a good try. Naturally I'd be willing to spend that amount, but over $500 spent just to get a phone call, esp when only 2-10 mins of that phone call will actually be interactive (I believe after that shes just supposed to meditate) doesnt sound too promising. Also I thought of taking here there but we're in NY and he's somewhere far away (I've forgotten where). If it was just me I'd even be willing to do this but convincing my Mother is a different story.

Sounds great. I dont know if this would work with advanced cancers though? I've seen different diets all over the place, the problem lies in deciding which to go for. and to make sure nothing in them conflicts with the normal chemo she's on.

Btw you're not the first to mention radiant health. I assume this is a paraliminal? Getting my Mom to listen to one will certainly be challenging, but maybe I'd succeed if its fun to listen to, is it? Can you comment on the effectiveness? Does it actually teach how to visualize?

Yes, I sure do. You might not be "active" but lots of others who do the healing work are active!

Well, a lot of Reiki teachers say no, but I think that just has to be poppycock--there are people doing distant healing all the time who have had NO Reiki training. I've sent you a private message outlining how it can be used in that way.

Cancer patients often have many side-issues (nausea, headache, etc.) that respond well to JinShin, plus clearing the meridians and acupoints can strengthen the whole system. Cure? I don't know about that. Help? In my experience with other conditions--yes.

Hi Dan;

SFQ has been very good to me and if I were advised that 6 sessions would be a good place to start, it would be a deal at twice the price.

Mom's are a hard sell, I know, I have one too. Although my Mom just went through a knee replacement at 84 years old and the Doctor and Therapists said that was the fastest they had ever saw someone recover from the operation. They sent her home with only half of the suggested physical therapy sessions done. Yes I worked on her myself and placed her on the weekly Healing list.

To my knowledge there is not a paraliminal called Radiant Health. It is more a concept from the realm of Tonic Herbs that assist one to having health beyond any danger.

Ron Teegarden has a book called Tonic Herbs and a web page www.dragonherbs.com He has something of a recommendation/meditation technic to visualize yourself in Radiant Health everyday.

Money is always a hot topic when looking at health. Some people 5 dollars is alot of money to pay, others half a mill is a drop in the bucket.

I cannot advise you on a correct path to take that will work for you. I believe that we all do what we think is right in this life and have to live with the results.

Many times I look at things from "will I have any regrets if I do or do not, do some action." If I know I could have done something that had a good chance of making a difference, then I know I would have regrets about not doing it. There isn't much to think about then, I just do it and don't look back.

Hope that is of some help.

Robert Dilts helped his mother fight her cancer.

Maybe you can get in touch with him through the nplu.com website?
