Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer N00b to Photoreading

Ok--I have the DVD Delux Ed--and to me that seems highly vauge--it lists the steps, but it doesn't explain them. Besides that all the dvds are jumbled up in my opinion. My main goal was to use this to read tech books faster than what I normally can and retain the information. Is this even possible? Especially when most of the books I read are in .pdf of .rgo format due to me travelling alot? If someone can explain the system in detail to me--I would greatly appreciate it.

I think the best thing you can do is buy the Photoreading book, learn the system first, then look to the DVD's.

Yeah I just recieved the book--your right..at least the book is step by step--I think the dvds are more of a reference into the book. In my opinion you really don't even need the dvds.

Well whether you need the DVDs or not is highly debatable and I wouldn't like to get into these. I will definitely like to share my experience with the DVDs. After finishing with the self learning audio course, I watched the first two DVDs - Inside Secrets and Mastering the Basics. I have yet to watch the third DVD - Power PhotoReading.

After watching the DVDs, I was really encouraged and understood the process more. I really felt one with those participants and could identify myself with them. The way they were discussing how they are going to use PhotoReading to improve their lives was really beautiful.

But as it is said there is a time and purpose for everything. If you are watching the DVDs as a sole mean to learn PhotoReading, then I am afraid DVDs will not fulfill this purpose. Further the DVDs will not be much effective, if you watch them right at the beginning without having any understanding or without learning the basics of the PhotoReading Whole Mind System. But once you learn the basics either by listening to self learning audio course or by reading the book and then proceed further with the DVDs you will benefit a lot.

I photo read my last book last night--I wonder though, does it even count if I have already "read" the book? I found myself remembering alot more about the book when I was just waking up--anywho let me know your opinions about what I experienced.

That makes sense - you've opened up your mind to the entire text again... I'd say yes it does count because everytime you photoread you are practicing the process and you should find it easier and quicker to get in to the accelerated learning state.

The material I find most useful is the Photoreading Course Disk 7 in which Paul runs you through the whole process with your own book. I find it very easy to get in to state and get lots from the book this way. I guess at some point I won't need the CD but until then it is really helpful.

With the deluxe course, LS sends you a whole bunch of materials, but there's no cover letter or anything explaining how and when to use them, or how they fit together. You have to look everything over to figure this out.

Paul, Pete, if you're listening, it would be a very nice thing if you would at least send a cheery orientation letter with that big expensive product!

I got the impression that he just had the DVDs rather than the Deluxe Learning Course...

HI I have just purchased the deluxe set and expect it to be delivered to me here in Australia towards the middle of next week. Reading the above comments has already proven to be useful in terms of how best to tackle the info on its arrival.

A question I have is...how useful are people finding the photoreading techniques... ie are ppl noticing increases in their reading and recall abilities and if so, after what sort of time frame/study input?

Looking forward to getting into this program.

The DVD are stage two of PhotoReading. They are technically the extra for when you want to take your PhotoReading skill to the next level. You won't learn PhotoReading with them. It points out on the web site when you purchase them that you need to do the classic course first.

The classic course is the audio course. Simply start with CD one of the audio course and proceed from there.
