I just received the Paraliminal CD's yesterday and right away listened to a few. I started with the Perfect Health one, as I felt I was getting a cold. I could feel it working right away. Then I tried the Talking to Win, because I had someone coming to my home to look at some furniture and things of mine to buy. Later I listened to Beliefs.

To make a long story short, I couldn't sleep at all last night. The CD's, while they work, had exactly the opposite effect on me than they seem to have on others - they don't make me sleepy. In the middle of the night, I tried the Deep Relaxation one. There were moments when I felt deeply relaxed, but then it goes away when Paul's voice changes and it's time to wake up and I am left with this vibrating feeling throughout my body, which keeps me awake.

The fact is, that hum I hear, I guess it is the binurial beat, as I am listening, that hum feels like some kind of electric current going through my body that takes hold of me, seizes my mind and somehow inside my body and prevents me from feeling my normal mental and physical relaxed state.

This morning I tried 2 more CD's and I had the same feeling after each. I have this panicked/vibrating feeling inside and I can't stand it. I have many issues I need help with, such as self-confidence in speaking to others (especially on the phone in foreign languages), accessing information I have at the right time etc, and the panicky feeling that lingers in me after listening, like some tingling or fluttering butterflies filling up my body, has a bad effect on my overall functioning. Yesterday I had moments of irritability that are not normal for me and sort of a frantic feeling inside me, while feeling really tired at the same time. There came a time some hours after listening to the Talking to Win CD that I felt "now I have to make this phone call, I have to!" I had some strange rush of "not calm" energy, not based in confidence or peace, that was giving me this driving feeling that I am ready to make this phone call.

This morning, some time after listening to the 2 CD's (with long intervals between them), I tried drinking a cup of majoram tea to calm my nerves down and it really worked (like a sleeping pill or sedative even). So I feel good now. I have regained my feeling of peace and sure feeling of the tasks I have before me (for which I was seeking help from these CD's), but only because I drank some sedating tea.

What could be wrong?

Simple answer: You overloaded your subconscious mind with too many things to do. I know that sounds funny, given the power of the sub-conscious, but because there is the mind-body connection, when the sub-C is REALLY busy, sometimes the bizziness also reflects into the physical. So it didn't rest as well as you expected or wanted it to.

Suggestion is to use up to three paraliminals per day, working around the same issue, but NOT just before going to sleep - give yourself a few hours between listening and sleep. When you go to bed, focus on something pleasant as you drift off to sleep.

If you have several issues you are working on, work on them on different days.

If you use the Deep Relaxation one at night, Paul does provide the choice of drifting off or waking up. If you haven't gone on overload, you'll probably find it quite easy after turning off your CD to roll over and drift off naturally.

Hope this helps!

Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks Unis. I also guessed I overdid it yesterday, so I only did 2 this morning. I had been waiting weeks for them to get here and right away read through almost every booklet, maybe a bit overzealous.

I'll take your advice about only working on one issue a day, and limit the CD's I listen to.

Thanks!

I find that most Paraliminals put me to sleep when I listen to them at night. I do avoid listening to Get Around to It, since it is meant to stimulate you into activity.

I only listen to 1 Paraliminal a day. I meditate using Holosync. I leave half a day gap between the two.

Update: Now I have begun falling asleep too, or not falling asleep entirely, but when the Paraliminal is over, I lay my head back and doze off. I don't know what happened the first day.

I don't really know for how long or how often to listen to one or another CD for one particular issue. I mean, if the effects of one issue will wear off after some time if you stop focusing on it and you have to repeat it like once a week in order to keep the effects, or if you can listen to a Paraliminal a few times for one issue and have the effects for the issue be permanent in you and you can move on to a different issue.

Over did it. Too much alpha / theta entrainment for a beginner. You can use different or the same Paraliminal for the same or different goals. Just make sure you come out fully at the end of listening to one SESSION for at least 20. To allow the brainwaves to adjust to day to day activities. I suggest spacing them morning noon evening if you must do more than one a day. I tend to use them just when I feel like it. Can go a couple of weeks without listening to one
