My whole life I have been able to close my eyes and feel energy. This is a legacy from my grandmother - she was an amazing empath. I have always assigned colors to the energy especially from others. This is a how I knew when family was checking on me. Very handy during those college years.
When I started Qigong I just incorporated this into my practice when calling upon my master's energy. My grandmother is one of the energies and I recognized her touch immediately and another strong color emerged when I think of Master Lin.
However a couple of times a new color, one that I had not felt before, started "peeking" in. It means no harm and seems loving. Two days ago this energy (an amazing blue I had only seen in the sky while in Hawaii) just flooded my vision. I felt no fear, no harm and just said WOW- Thank you for helping.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this type of experience.

Hi Deb,
That sounds really wonderful.
I rarely see colours
but have experienced swirling deep blues and then an orb of blue gold when meditating.
I usually experience heightened feelings when practicing Qigong and am very aware of my body. I get more colours when concentrating on the chakras - 14 so far ..... and I get the feeling there are many more ----!
One below my feet , one on each foot, the usual 7 up the body then 4 above my head and can now get them spinning with colours - - though when the crown chakra spins all the others just turn glowing white. I don't know what that means but it feels very good!
I do know others who see colours, auras and more, but as yet the above is my total colour experience.
Just keep doing what you do - you are very lucky to be so blessed.

Calling on your master's energy may tune you into another in their "network" that has somethign to contribute. You see a color, others may see an animal, person, or image, but whatever the perception, Chunyi teaches to listen to what s/he/it has to offer.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and encouragement. You are right I am very blessed with the gifts the universe has given me. I didn't always feel that way and blocked my gifts for a long time.
