Hi guys!

I have tried to photoread some books and activated them but I don't get the feelings like some people that paul have described in the book when the have photoread and activated.

Like how the mind tells where in the text that relates to your purpose and you should dip. I don't get such feelings.

I have prepared and stated some specific purposes and previewed the book (not to much though).

I think the problem for me is that I maybe don't enter the Accelerated Learning State. I don't feel present in the moment, just calm.

I have done the things paul said in the book about entering the accelerated learning state.

So please can somebody help me and give me advice I find it hard to enter the accelerated learning state.

THX!

hey

provocative thread title - remember you can only fail at something if you set yourself a time limit. So I wonder, how did you set your time limit?

Have you tried using the 5 day exercise in the book as a place to start succeeding?

Matt

I didn't really set any time limit.

I choosed A book (book: use your memory) and photoread it with the purpose I want to know how to memorate faces and names. After photoreading I waited more than 20 minutes to activate the book.

I super read and dipped (but I found the most worth reading except the begginning of the section). But the dippings did not feel like my mind was telling me to dip.

Maybe the choice of purpose and section of the book was not to good to test if I have photoread because I find pretty much in that section was important for my purpose.

The thing is that I don't get that feeling of: "there dip there" from my mind as some people have when they super read and dip.

PS: didn't thought of the thread name could be provocative. sorry. Didn't mean that

I wonder whether the feeling is there and you aren't yet listening to it? Relax, and see what happens!

Incidentally, I have that book (Tony Buzan) and after previewing, decided that I wouldn't get much from photoreading it. I don't know why, that's the feeling I got and I tend to go with my hunches when it comes to reading.

So I'm not saying that you can't photoread it and get benefit, I just wonder whether there are better books on your shelf on which to refine your photoreading techniques and get more results that will encourage you at this early stage.

My pleasure... good luck

One of the best ways to get good results that I have found is to pick a book that you are really excited about reading...

Cheers

Matt

There's not such thing as failure it's all a learning experience.

What happened to your mind probing questions.Often when you don't find places to dip it's because you haven't asked a question in the first place.

Make sure you form questions from your trigger words and activate in layers. Don't give up before the book fully gels for you.
