I just wanted to check something with ya. It's because i have this "problem" (its a problem since i started this photo reading thing, but it has never bothered me before) that since child i was able to see "doubled" things if i wanted to (no i'm not squint).

As an example, if i put one of my fingers in front of me, i can either see it normally as everyone or i can double the image, seeing two transparent fingers, focusing on whatever is behind the finger, which seems like the preached de-focusing thing, but i'm not sure.

Anyways, since i dont know whats like to be normal on this issue, i dont know if my "blip page" is going the way it should go, because i can do the blip thing effortlessly, i can see the blip page whenever i want to, but it all gets blurry, since im mixing two views, so i get the effect that letters are written one in front of other, the letters overlap each other, like if two different letters were written in the same place. Needless to say, it gets pretty confusing to consciously read anything thats written in the text.

So my final question is, when you guys get the "blip page", do you also get the words all blurry and confused at whats written because they seem to be written one over the other or is it just me? Can it be possible for the unconscious to understand such a confusing image (its 2 different images at the same time, because the image of each eye overlap the other one), when the conscious cant get a grasp of whats there?

Hey,

Sounds to me like you can do the blip page perfectly!

Remember that images from your eyes are processed by the brain and those images come together for our binocular vision.

You can notice things in your peripheral vision without them being pin sharp, so let go of the need for everything to be in focus. Your mind is way smarter than you think it is. Relax, accept this fact and be excited to find out just how smart your mind really is.

Thanks for your answer.

Here's the thing, the letters and all the text actually don't get blurry, they just get confusing since i'm in essence watching two texts one overlapped onto each other.

Consciously, i can't read whats written there, so you saying that the unconscious mind can clear this confusing two-in-one image, separating them and then proccessing them?

Can my unsconscious read what's there even though consciously i can't define whats written?

Yes, your unconscious mind can sort it all out. I don't even get a blip page, but i photoread fine. Just stop worrying about it. You should make sure you aren't crossing your eyes, though, because that would just create stress and doesn't help at all. What you want is a soft gaze through the book.

p.s. As you seem to notice generally speaking you won't see the text clearly, so once again, if you are crossing your eyes that is incorrect.

I dont think i'm "crossing the eyes" (english is my 2nd language so im not sure what it means).

I can still read some stuff when on the blip page effet, so i can essentially be still on hard focus.

Another thing and the most important one, people here say that when you have the blip page, that means that you are photoreading. But i dont have to concentrate, or focus, or do any big effort to get the blip page, as i already explained on the thread, and in order to have the PhotoFocus and to throw it to your subconsciosu isnt some concentration necessary?

The blip page means you are in photofocus.

Relax, enjoy the chant which will keep your conscious mind from trying to read the words on the page, and give your unconscious mind a chance. This is photoreading.

If you are noticing words on the page, read the book upside down first then turn it round after. I do this with every book and find that by the time the book it the right way up, my gaze is so relaxed i don't even try to recognise words.

Please correct me if i'm wrong (and i very well might be), but i think people put to much emphasis on getting the process perfect, especially with the photoreading step. For me, when i just let go everything just worked.

I agree. Activation is far more important.

The blip page is just a nice indicator that you have photofocus.

Sam the way you see your finger double when looking at something further away... is the correct way to obtain photofocus.

In the beginning you might look over the top of the book or under the bottom while maintaining the blip page. Look at a distant object.

Purpose is the most important part of the system. If you don't know why you are reading a book there is no point in reading it.
