What is the difference between entering the Accelerated Learning state (using the tangerine technique) and entering the resource level of mind (3-2-1 process)? When would one use each? Also, I've been having trouble entering the resource level of mind. Whenever I go through the process on the self study course CD, I feel no different than before I started the CD... Can anyone help me?

Here is my understanding:

The tangerine technique focuses your attention behind your head. My interpretation is that it keeps your mind from wandering, much like doodling in a boring class or meeting. It also helps to keep your eyes from focusing too narrowly on the page. Doing the resource level of mind is basically self-hypnosis. You are focusing and opening your mind to suggestion, in this case, the book you're about to Photoread. I don't know that I feel much different when I do the resoruce level of mind, but it does help me to be in the moment.


Alex, can you add some more clarity?

Accelerated Learning State is NOT Using the Tangerine technique.
Accelerated Learning State is the 3-2-1 entering the resource level.

The tangerine is your ideal state. Required for previewing, PhotoReading, Activation

Entering the Resource level is only required before the PhotoReading step. It's the best place to be to tell yourself your positive affirmation and purpose. Because it is the most positively focused state.

Feeling from the Accelerated Learning State won't feel anything wildly different you are just more relaxed, calm and mentally focused in the now moment. Which is perfect for a lead in to the PhotoReading state which is a different set of brainwave patterns again.

My advise is not to analyse it too much just follow the steps and allow the experience to be just that, an experience.
