i am srinivas. i have listened to 8 tapes of photoreading the whole mind system. i finished it one week ago. i felt a great satisfaction and thanks to the founder paul scheele. i have read the book photoreading 3 times.

i have got some doubts:

1) I cannot understand what is blip page

2) when i try to go to photofocus state i feel nothing happening. i have listened to many tapes on this subject when i do while listening to the audio i feel the change but when i try to do without the help of any audio i don't feel any change in state.

3)i am giving my final exam in 3 months. can i photo read the text books and activate them. will i be able to recall all the points. in my textbooks there are 15 chapters and each chapter has 10 questions and each question has 15 sub points.

4) how much time it will take to photoread the textbook and activate it.

please give me detailed explanations of my queries.

i am in india if you conduct seminars here please inform me i will definately join it. the free info cd which you are giving cannot be sent here without paying postage charges it is very costly is there any method by which i can get it. i have searched for the videos i could not find any can you plese send me the video links

Hello srinivas. Peace to you. I am not a photoreading expert, but I have gone through the home study course about 1 and half times and have photoread some books with success and I think I can help a bit. Perhaps someone else will go into more detail.

I respond below within your message to each question:

I realize that is not one of your questions, but it is a good one, nevertheless! Replace doubts with a thought or affirmation of confidence. Simply say to yourself things such as :"I am getting better and better at this. I am able to access those things I need when I read" Or "My other-than-conscious-mind sees and gets it all. I can access what I need when I need it" Or other such positive affirmations of that nature. This is an important key.

1) I cannot understand what is blip page

Did you do the little "cocktail wienie" finger game? You put your two index fingers touching each other at the tips (like they are both pointing at each other), and at the right distance, if your eyes kind of relax and diverge, you see a little "phantom finger" pointing at both finger in the middle. It looks like a hot dog or a sausage.

Well, the so-called "blip page" is simply the same thing in the middle of two pages of the book. It looks a little like a "page cylinder" in the middle. It is really just a kind of sign that you are seeing the entire page and not looking at just one part of the page. You just hold the book at the right distance, let your eyes see the whole page, and there should be a kind of "phantom page".

It is not critiical to see that. If you don't see it, don't force it, and substitute seeing all four corners of the page. Visualize a big "X" that goes from all four corners to the middle of the two pages that are open. The idea is just look at the entire "big picture" and trust in your "other-than-conscious-mind" that it is in fact getting everything you need.

Again, throughout this process, it can help a lot to give yourself affirmations before, during and after. Tell yourself that you are getting what you need.

In this case, you don't need to feel any big difference. You just need to trust that your other-than-conscious-mind is indeed getting it. You ARE seeing the page. That is just simply true. The only question is what are you able to comprehend. This depends on your objectives and goals. Before you get to your big assignment below, you should practice on some smaller books and articles just to sharpen up. Take a book that you might have wanted to read or even have read, but don't remember much or didn't read totally or any book really. Come up with some SPECIFIC purpose ("I want to know everything in this book" is NOT a specific purpose. But "want to have a good understanding of this subject, enough to be able to answer a few questions about it" is closer. It depends on the book. It could be a fiction book, and you could just kind of now know the basic plot and be able to tell it. Or it could be like the dictionary game and you could just know where something in the book is. Play with it for a few times.

Remember that the photoreading stage of the whole mind system is only part of the system. You are not remembering everything you read with total comprehension. Instead, you have a specific purpose. This purpose comes out in the activation stage. The prepare stage before photoreading is also VERY important. This is NOT a system where you do one thing and it solves your problem. Rather it is a way to use more of your mind/brain to get much more out of the learning process than one could ever hope to do, merely by reading one word, sentence, paragraph, page, and chapter at a time. This system is one where you are ACTIVE in the learning process.

The photoreading step, which is very important, is something that allows your natural way of seeing i.e. if you did not know how to read, you would look at two page open and you would see the whole thing. If instead of words there were, say 12 triangles, 14 circles, 18 squares, 9 rectangles and 22 stars, and let's say they all were a specific color (e.g. say all the circles were green and all the squares were blue etc), and you just kept flipping pages, you might know a lot more about what was in this book, than you think because we do see more than we think we do in general. This can be proven through hypnosis. Our other-than-conscious-mind absorbs a much bigger picture than we are conscious of. And unless we need it or know how to access it, we are not aware of it.

Each time you photoread (just that step, always AFTER you ahve prepared). Take some time to let it "digest" as it were. And tell yourself, "I will be able to access what I need" (and have that be something specific. For example, if you read a pamphlet about a diet, you could say "I will be able to do a five minute talk about this diet after I activate the material. And when I activate, I will go right to those passages I need"

I have never done this for an exam. There many who have and you can and should search the forum for some of those discussions. There are a bunch of them. I just read a few of them not more than a few months ago. They will help you a lot.

However, I think that if you have three months before the exam, it could work something like this:

You prepare and photoread one chapter on one day, and activate that chapter the following day. If you already have the questions and sub-points, this can be very valuable in this process. You don't say how many pages the book is nor the subject and I would think that how long this would take depends greatly on the sjubject and the level of the questions.

But if you use the questions and sub-points both in your prepare state (you tell yourself that "I will be able to answer these questions clearly and accurately" and when you activate.

It depends on the questions. If the questions are really detailed with 15 sub-points each, you might only be able to activate with one or two questions at a time. It could take about 90 days to really get it clear. What you save is time and effort spent during those 90 days. I.e. Instead of spending hours and hours just reading the material and THEN working on the questions, you can take say 5-15 minutes to prepare the chapter (use a question or two to set your purpose. THis should help A LOT!) , then photoread for a however long it takes per chapter (so if it is a 40 page chapter it should take just a few minutes to Photoread the whole chapter). Take a few moments to tell yourself what you need to hear to affirm your purpose and that your other-than-concsious-mind is seeing all of it and that you will be able to access what you need. Put the book away.

Then the next day, take out a question with its sub-points. Read the question(s) and sub-points and now activate: super-read and dip, mindmap, skitter whichever one best works for the material, and for you. Probably, mind-mapping would be great in such a case. You might want to mind-map each chapter.

The way the Photoreading step works, is you are actually seeing HUGE chunks of text all at once. Your are not "reading" this. You are SEEING it.
And your other-than-conscious-mind has it somewhere in the hopper.

NOw when you activate (mind-map, super-read and dip, skitter or whatever combination you do), you will go right to those parts you need. It works! Your memory has it somewhere, but until you activate it, you are not conscious of it (hence the " other-than-conscious-mind " ).

If you do this with the questions, and give each chapter a night to "sleep on it" (and tell yourself at the end of the photoreading step and before you go to sleep "I have what I need to answer these questions", you should do fine.

You could do this twice, since you have three months. You could even do it three times, and each time, it should be better.

It will still be a LOT less time than trying to read all of the text in the traditional way.

If you have the Memory Paraliminal tape, you should listen to that maybe once a day to help. Or at least take about 5 minutes every day and write affirmations and meditate on them : "I will remember and be able to access what I need to answer all the questions in a comprehensive way" Or something like that.

Again, I think the other threads on this can help you and anyone who helps you might need more information about the texts (pages, subject etc).

4) how much time it will take to photoread the textbook and activate it.

Same answer: depends on the material. But I would think it likely could be done in one month or a little more, one chapter a night, activate the next day. Take a break, prepare and photoread the next chapter, and activate the next day.

please give me detailed explanations of my queries.

Well, though not incredibly detailed, I hope this helps. I know there is more detail in forum topics already here. And maybe others can help you even more.

I think two things are key, though: 1) you need to develop more confidence by playing with the whole system on a few small books. 2) develop"mantras" that you say to yourself before, during and after the process to bolster your confidence and access more of your other-than-conscious-mind.

1. Photofocus... see my website http://www.photoreading.com.au/PhotoFocus_-_seeing_the_page.html

That page will help.

2. Feeling from the Accelerated Learning State won't feel anything wildly different you are just more relaxed, calm and mentally focused in the now moment. Which is perfect for a lead in to the PhotoReading state which is a different set of brainwave patterns again.

3. If you don't yet know how to use the full PhotoReading system. Just PhotoRead the textbooks daily for a week or two and continue to use your normal study techniques for learning the content. So set yourself study time and use whatever methods already work for you. If you know how to mind map use it if you don't it's a good time to start using it.

The questions in the textbook will serve as good mind probing activation questions.

4. How long it will take depends on you. Don't set limits when you don't know what they are.

Alex
