On one of his meditation CDs Master Lin says to change blockages into Butterflies whcih are realeased ionto the universe. More usually he talks of blockages changing into smnoke or air. I found myself using butterflies in the Breathing of the Universe and felt comfortable with it. I would venture that they are interchangeable but would welcome any other thoughts about this. Partly for me it's what I find easiest to visualise - it seems different every time and sometimes it takes a while to find a way of visualising things in a more effort-free way, if that communicates.

Hi Kev, I think they both are just as good. It all depends on how one visualize different objects. I like the butterflies only because I "see" the solid three dimensions of butterflies better. I can think of the blockages flying out of my body.
As for the smoke, yes, see that too. However, sometime it is hard not to think of the body is having hot air coming out, like someone is very angry. Just hard to keep the mind in check being empty.

Aloha Kev5,

You can use either at any time. The smoke tends to lend itself to breathing energy through all the pores in your skin.

Belated thanks Bluebird and Shawn for your replies. Your thoughts complement my own, Bluebird. Shawn, when I'm in a particular state of mind smoke is easier for me but on other occasions butterflies do it for me better. It's nice to have the choice in fact.

Love

Kev
