Hello

I have a few questions about photofocus. First of all, I can see the blip page (and I'm sure I'm not crossing my eyes) and the stereograms easily. I have no problem with seeing the blip page. So my questions are:

1. If I see the blip page, no matter how (except for crossing my eyes)am I in photofocus state?
2.The essence of photofocus is to see the whole book at the same time, to see both pages at once, right?
3. When I am in photofocus state, Isee the surrunding of the book as well as the book itself, e.g. the floor, the other books on the table. Is it alright?
4.When you are in photofocus, where is your focus? Is it in the middle of the pages? Because someone on this forum said that when your eyes get relaxed, your focus on the middle of the book lessens and your sight expands and you will see the whole book at the same time. Is it true?
5.What does Paul mean by relaxed eyes? When are my eyes relaxed? How do I know my eyes are relaxed? Does the divergent stage mean the same as relaxed eyes?
7. Do I have to be in the alpha state of mind during photoreading? If not, why do we have to enter it? What is the use of entering it?
8. Lastly, am I doing alright, if I see the blip page?

Thank you for your reply.
Best regards

hi vajti ,
congrats on noticing the blip page, and let me tell you even today, even though i know what blip page is i can't seem to see it..

1.if you think you're able to see the blip page when you're photoreading a book, then its indeed photo focus.

2.the essense of the photofocus,is the ability to send the printed page to other than concious,
even though the technique is to look at the both pages at the same time, you shouldn't look at it,meaning you should look at the center crease line between pages,so since you're looking at the center line which splits two pages apart, you'll be able to look at the two pages so as to send the info to other than concious.you will be able to notice empty white spaces, margine, when you try to look at it in this way.

3.as i suggested in the previous paragraph, look at the middle of the book, only try to notice all four corners of the book,i.e, the two pages.now the question is: your ability to see the floor when in the photo focus, is it right?;well they're not right or wrong they're just experiences the you had..

4.photo focus basically puts you in a state where you use your creative brain, meaning when you look at the book,in the center crease you notice all four corners,of the book and notice empty spaces between the words and paragraph;now rather than analyzing them as words, statements, you just notice them as a picture,in its own style, that's what photo focus is all abt.

5.i read in a book called "train your eyes" by sri Aurobindo. where he speaks about relaxing the eyes as well,he says that, when you'll have kept your eyes open, during your day, your eyes have to process a lot of heavy data, carrying the photograph through the nerves, and giving it to the brain,
due to so much work non stop since you woke up,when you actually close your eyes, and sit down comfortably, your brain is given a chance to relax and conserve energy to work on what you have to eg:reading.
and also the lens of your eyes be relieved of the millions of dust particles that prevent you from seeing properly, the eye lids are this natural care we have to give the most essential care to our eyes.

your eyes will be relaxed when you can put your self through tangerine technique.upon opening your eyes from tangerine technique, your eyes fell good, that's what paul means when relaxing your eyes.

q:when are your eyes relaxed?
A:well, when you wake up every morning don't you feel good,of enjoying a good sleep, doesn't your whole body feel good? even your eyes?;that's when your eyes are relaxed.
when your eyes are relaxed naturally you're in divergent state,
if you use glasses you might have experienced this,
when you don't have your eye glasses cleaned for a long time, until it really feels uncomfortable to read, through them?;when finally you have the glasses cleaned after such a long time, you can fell that divergent effect.

6.well this is a really big question ,but i'll make it as short as possible,
the main thing is when you enter the Accelerated learning state you're naturally in the Alpha, because alpha is a state where you're whole body is relaxed yet your brain is alert to its peak.
why do we need alpha? so that the brain usage becomes idle,so that you can use 100% of the resources of your brain.

well, if you use computers i can explain it even better,
imagine that you're running a game which utilizes 99% of your system resources, and you want to type some thing very important, but since the game has already has your system resources pre-occupied you'll have little resources to work with, so even though that game may be important to you,but not at the moment,so when you terminate that process your system resources become free, and you can use them to suit your needs.
in the same way when you enter the accelerated learning state, you terminate unwanted thoughts abt the past and future, and free up your concious resouces to be at the present.

7.lastly yes you're doing it right, you're TRYING to learn the photoreading, remember you'll learn through time, you'll improve every time you try these or any techniques.

hope i've been helpful,
karthik

Thank you karthik. I guess you mean that the essence of the photofocus state is to send all the information to the OTC mind and the way of doing this is not trying to focus on the words, just seeing the whole page comfortably (I think this is what soft gaze means) and that is the only thing that matters in photofocus.

yes!, but more than being able to see,the most important thing is keeping your self relaxed,i.e, keeping your self in the Accelerated learning state..in case if you're unable to split the pages apart at some point, don't be frustrated, just let it go..and in case your ,mind wanders off, bring it back gently to the task at the present..thats it....

bye,
k
