Hi

I bought the course and am having trouble with "photofocus".

I tried to play the dictionary game as instructed on the tape but i failed miserably, failing to locate a single word in about 10 attempts.

However I am quite sure the problems are related to the photofocus stage. I am never fully satisfied that I am actually doing it properly and I always suddenly realise that I am kind of looking at one spot so I think I am just blurring my vision rather than softening it.

I can not see the blip on the at all when I look at the book - my eyes simply hard focus.

Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks for the help

Hy rjamerson,

There is not such a thing as failure. Who's to say what failing is? Who's to tell you what the standard forms of "passing" are? Who made up this "passing/failing" system anyway? Another human, I assume? So if we were born with equal potential, who's to say that the system he created is perfect?

What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Therefore, conceiving and believing failure, will only help you achieve failure. You must believe in yourself.

Now, as for photofocus, I've had this problem for a long time, as well. I recently found that the muscles around my eyes/cheeks/mouth were very tense when my eyes were opened. I just let it all go. It sort of felt like my face was drooping, but it helped. My eyes relaxed, and casually, easily widened and set into photofocus.

Try relaxing all the other parts of your face, that will definitely help relax your eyes.

Hello,

Try imagining looking through the book, as if you were looking far away. It's the same principle as the cocktail weenie - have you managed to get that to work ?

Hey

Thanks for the advice Selador but I have tried using that method but whenever I try to see the blip, my eyes focus on the page rather than looking through it.

Have you got any advice on how to see the blip on the page??

Thanks

rjamerson hi)))

i had this problem too...

Just relax, close your eyes and imagine a tangerine, or a bird on a sombrero that you wear, it doesn't matter... and after that gently open your eyes...

One time i tried to see the blip page imagining the tangerine, while my eyes were open))That was so funny, come to think of it)))

Hey

How do you guys actually Photofocus?

I ask this because the only way I can see the blip on the page is to look at something, and then put the book in the way while still trying to see the object. Will this way work?

Thanks

i had this problem too)))

But someday i felt tired after a hard day at school, and i had to read a book. After i opened the first page i saw at last this blip page... but my mistake was, that i try to focus my view on it. If you could see the top 4 corners of the book, while you are in the state of relax alertness it would be great... and don't worry))The blip page will "come"))) This isn't the most difficult part of the PR system)))

P.S sorry for my english)))learned German at school)))

I have just started too and I am concerned that I am not photofocusing. I will persist.

When driving in fog it is advised that you look in your rear view mirror to refocus the eyes to infinity - when I sence I am focusing on the page I am looking just over the top to relax my vission again it seems to help.

Hey,

I had this problem and this is what i did to fix it.

If you know how to see the weenie or the sausage with your two fingers while looking at something else in the far distance then your on track

Whereas with the fingers you can see a sausage in the middle, well the blip is two lines on the page and a curve of a page inbetween the two lines.

you cant really see anything with clarity when your eyes are soft gazing. (to soft gaze, just soften your eyes as if you wanted to make things blurry and the blip should come in focus.

do not focus on anything in the page, due to the nature of our eyes we generally trained to hard focus on anything that is close to your face. its challenging, our eyes are like a camera that has autofocus. our eyes instead have to be like the camera but without the autofocus.

continue with that soft gaze and flip each page and continue to see the blip. you may find the blip changes size, gets smaller, larger, im not too sure how to fix that.

anyone else want to comment?

Ben
