I'm a little over half way through the PR course and I have to say it's really working. The thing I'm starting to notice is that I'm able to "see" the whole book now. I'm picking things up from books more than I used to. Things about the book will sometimes just pop in my head (which I think is called spontaneous activation?)

I don't want to come here and sound like a cheesy testimonial or something like that. But, I was like most people when exploring PR. I couldn't understand how this was going to work. I can see how the term Photo Reading can confuse most people. Most people probably expect to learn some magic trick that will allow them to "photograph" a book and they will know every word. Not so.

I find this course teaches you HOW to read a book. There's so much more than flipping pages or simply reading left to right. This is getting your whole brain involved. But, I can see how that's difficult for 98% of the population.

Seriously, most of the bitchin' I read about or hear about this course more than likely come from people who;

1. Never even took the course
2. Never finished the course
3. Didn't practice what they did learn.

I'm just really impressed so far and I can't wait to teach this to my two kids. Imagine if they taught this to us back when we were kids. I don't know why this isn't being taught in every school in America.

Could you imagine the students we would be turning out if schools used accelerated learning and PR. Well, like I said at least we can teach our own children to give them the advantage.

I recommend to take your time with this and like Paul says, "go easy on yourself".

HI JasonBietsch!

I know what you mean! After PR i know exactly the place where the answer is hidden. And by the way: NICE JOB!

One question for you: How long does it take you for activating a chapter using skittering?

Best wishes,

I'm working more with super reading and dipping right now. I'm taking my time with this course.

I've touched on skittering, but not quite there as of yet.

I'm on CD #5.

I'm practicing with Brian Tracy's book Focal Point as well.

Hey Jason,

Welcome to the forums!
I'm glad to see photoreading is working for you. Take your time and stick with it. It is truly a valuable tool, and teaching it to your children would be wonderful as well.

Don't hesitate to ask about anything that you're unsure of, me and all the rest of the Learning Strategies forums will do our best to help you.
