Hi,

It's all good now... Shawn sent me the Week 2 recording, and it happened to have a much, much better sound quality than the recording given on the website! Yeah it had a few crackles and pops but not anywhere as much as the one on the website. Weird huh!

Just wanted to also say, it was an absolutely beautiful meditation and I loved it :-)

Many Thanks!

Saturday's Silence: These unexpected moments show me how my reality is changing. No trace of impatience this morning (and for me that's saying something). No impulse to jump back into multi-tasking (although a voice in the mind suggested a few things, but I did not feel tempted). I felt at peace in this quiet meditation. When the announcement came about a technical problem, I began to send love to Jeddah and all who worked to solve the phone issue, and sensed that many on the call were doing the same. Thank you for this time of silence.

Any chance there is a recording of the q&a that occurred before the meditation for session 6? And could that be posted? I would hate to miss a morsel of what Jeddah is offering! This is just the most extraordinary experience.
I've had a dream off and on my entire life of finding myself in whatever home I'm living in and accidentally coming across a door and then a room that is filled with the most amazing and wonderful things. And I always think that this is a door I've walked by over and over and never really noticed or opened and how could that be?! All the fabulous stuff inside the room has been there waiting just for me. This course is that door not in a dream, but in real life!! Thank you Jeddah and Learning Strategies for giving me this opportunity!!

Fabulous introduction to the week 7 meditation! Just this morning, at first waking, I had noticed myself having thoughts about the body. It seemed to me even then that the body's signals had often headed me out of trouble, while my mind otherwise would cling to old ways. Jeddah's introduction spoke directly to issues a friend had been asking about this very week. My friend (who steadfastly refuses to meditate because of breathing problems) asked if the universe was "testing" her, because of myriad troublesome events in her life. I held back from a quick answer, though I had wanted to explain that it's her belief about being tested which brings on what she perceives as attacks. Now, after listening to Jeddah, I can (treading very carefully) try to give my friend a better answer. I wish I could find a way to help my friend overcome her fear of meditating.

I am falling asleep, or going in & out. I want to be fully conscious during the hour with Jeddah & this is not what I am experiencing. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Hi Gentlespirit, I've having that happen to me to. But I am holding to two things that Jeddah has said. One, one person's question to Jeddah mentioned that he/she started the meditation with the intent to stay awake and aware, which does work for me when I remember to do it, (okay maybe a time or two it hasn't). Two, I think Jeddah's idea that if we don't want something to be the way it is, we need to focus on something else. So if I focus on my frustration at falling asleep, I'll get more of the same. If I focus on what I do enjoy and am aware of, then I'll get more of that. It's learning to re-train our minds to move away from the things we don't like and move over to the things we do...which for me is like trying to get the train off of the tracks, because I have had an ingrained habit that way. However, I recognize that I must do that to make any progress and I try to think of it as just a gentle, loving reminder to myself, 'Oh yeah, I need to be focus on something else.' One other thought I've had is that when I meditate in the afternoon is when I fall asleep, naturally I'm tired at that time of the day. So I'm experimenting with doing this in the morning so I'm fully charged and don't need the rest. Just one more thing, years ago when I was young my family took Transcendental Meditation training, at that time I had the same issue, falling asleep during the meditation. I remember they told me not to worry about it, that my body probably needed the sleep and that over time I would leave that behind. Anyway, good luck, I'm right there with you. All the best to you - Jeni

Thank you so much for the Meditation Only recordings - it makes it so much easier to do the meditation several times between calls - I really appreciate it! Love and blessings, Lorna
