Greetings! I'm a member of a men's Catholic religious order, (hence the username). I just got my Reiki Master Teacher/Practitioner certificate a few weeks ago, and got interested in Qigong as a way to supplement that practice.
I hold a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a purple belt in Vietnamese Kung Fu, and I practice the Tai Chi short form. I ride the Kawasaki 1200 ZRX motorcycle(hence the username ), and enjoy movies, listening to rock and roll, discussing current events and reading.

I received a demo CD/DVD of SFQ and was skeptical at first, until I tried the breathing exercise. When I practice Reiki, it's not unusual for my palms to get hot and I'll get various energy sensations throughout my body. When I did the breathing exercise, all of that started up immediately so I'm very curious.

I went ahead and ordered the course today (level I and II), so I guess I should receive them in about a week or so. I'm pretty curious about the whole thing and get wait to get started.

I'll peek in here from time to time, read through the other threads and get acquainted with you all as time goes by.

Peace.

Still haven't gotten the CD's. I was rather hoping they'd come today so I could spend some time over the weekend getting started on them.

Oh well. Patience is a virtue, they say.

The package arrived yesterday, and I spent some time going through it. I watched the introductory video and listened to the first audio CD's and leafed through the manual.

It seems as if the sequence of the manual is slightly askew to me. It's almost as if there's two separate things going on at the same time. No big deal, really. There's a ton of information in there and I've noticed that Master Lin covers each topic quite thoroughly; both in the audio portions as well as in the manual.

Today I watched the first DVD "For Health" all the way through and did all the active exercises along with the video. The movements remind me a lot of Tai Chi. I spent many years doing Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi and some other stuff, so learning new movements like this isn't too difficult for me, thank goodness.

I liked the movements, and I could feel some energy moving around. I especially felt it in my palms; they got pretty warm and I could feel the resistance between my palms in the Joining of the Yin and Yang exercise.

All in all, I liked it a great deal. Now tonight I have a long-distance Reiki attunement scheduled.

There's going to be a lot of energy flying around here tonight!
