Hi,
I have been diagnosed as having sleep apnea. I understand that means that my brain does not receive sufficient oxygen while sleeping to permit me to attain the necessary deep sleep. Can QiGong help with this?

Aloha MikeJoyous,

I just erased an email from a guy who did the SFQ exercises for a year and no longer sufferers from sleep apnea. I guess he had it so bad he could shut off the assisting machines.

Hi Shawn,
Well, it sounds good. I keep thinking about that woman in the DVD who gave up her air machine. It makes sense to me that if SFQ could affect positively that kind of issue, then it could just as well affect the amount of air my brain receives while sleeping. It sounds like a good bet, anyways.
best always,

I too have been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I do not know to what extent SFQ has helped me in terms of a new test, but I can tell you, I feel more rested after sleep when I do SFQ. And the more SFQ I do, the more rested I feel.

Less headaches and no more migraine medicine! Also lost my acid reflux disease (and in the last year about 20lbs, which I was told would indeed improve the situation visa vis the apnea. To be fair, a huge part of that weight loss was due to a change in my diet back to a 100% vegan, mostly raw and living food diet. But the reason I changed back to that diet [after not doing it for about 20 years] was almost totally due to SFQ. It's a long story, but the short version is my SFQ practice and meditation led me back to this diet, which has improved my practice and so on).

For what it's worth...

blessings,

Steve
