To all my skeptical friends out there. I approached PR with high hopes for the program expecting it to chance my school life instantly. Currently im averaging a 3.2gpa when my parents expect me to average a 4.0 and so do i. I bought the deluxe set and hoped it would bring me amazing results quickly: However, my hopes never came to be realized.
I opened the PR course right when it arrived and started spending nearly 2 straight days studying it. After moving through the program several times i felt so frustrated because i could not get through the activation step properly i tried every thing in the system mind map, skittering, super read and dip.
The only thing that keept me going through the course was that i felt the sensation behind my head with the tangerine technique and i felt a sensation after i finished photoreading a book. I always made sure i had a clear purpose and i affirmed to myself after i finished. I never even had a dream about the book i photoread.
I looked on this fourm for answers but I could not find any answers that fit my personal problem. So i decided to make an account and ask myself.
A few questions that i have are. How long can i expect to see results of mastering activation to the point where i do not need any activations techniques to acquire information i need? Also how do i get rid of possible self doubts of the program to allow PR to take its full effect? Finally, obviously lol what should i do to work on achieving strong PR results? Thank you i have confidence PR will eventually work so thats why i continue to try at it.

I have shared this numerous times before on the photoreading forum. Many,many,times i have shared for new photoreaders not to try to learn photoreading on school materials. Again i realize that we get new people who are just starting to learn photoreading so i understand if they never saw the posts.

Learn photoreading on a simple basic book that has absolutely nothing to do with school or a grade. Self help book or a book about a hobby. If you cannot activate a simple book what makes you think you are going to be able to activate a complex,complicated textbook.

You shared you were very clear about your purpose. How about sharing that purpose with us. Many times when people are having problems activating it is due to no purpose or a very weak purpose, or people think they have a purpose when they do not even have a real purpose. Purpose is everything in photoreading.

Take 10 simple books and spend 2 weeks activating them. When you can successfully activate 10 simple books transfer that skill to school/textbooks. Remember if you cannot activate a simple book you will not be able to activate complex textbooks.

Good tip about reading books that have nothing to do with school work. Ironically school work was all the information i ever Photoread. Here is an interesting story about me and PR. My final exam in biology was coming up and i was completely lost with the information, my teacher always tells us that we should be studying for his class for up to 3-4 hours. Combined with sports and stuff that is just impossible.

my purpose for PR ussually goes like this. The course says to make your purpose simple. Mine goes like this. "I am photoreading this matirial to understand the information contained within this book." Also everytime i mind-probe i never seem to get an answer from my brain.

I logged in specifically to tell you this.

That is NOT a purpose.

Your purpose should be simply specific, so to say.

Make it related to the book.

If it's about physics, say something about learning concepts in physics. Give yourself a specific reason to go into the book and get information out of it, without saying it that generally. Some books may have a similar purpose, but you shouldn't have the same purpose for all of them.

And you don't have to follow what Paul says EXACTLY. It's a flexible course, change something to make it your own.

One of the tricks for finding your real purpose and making it a real purpose.

Think of a time in the future where you will be using what you learned. Imagine what it is you know, how you might apply it in real life, who can you talk to about it and what would you be telling them.

And to measure if you have a purpose. Your purpose statement would include

So that I can...

Just a tip. Be wary of the purpose statement that goes...

I am PhotoReading this book so that I can pass the exam.

For the majority that is not a motivating purpose. When you say that notice how you feel.

I suggest looking a bit further than the exam to apply what you learn as in using the information you gather in your life somehow.

A true purpose both motivates and creates focus. It lets you know what you need to become aware of from your studies and lets you know when you got it.

The purpose is your measuring stick that answers the question, are we there yet?
