The focus of the MO Letter / Number peglist association seemed to be making it salient or memorable to you. While some of the suggestions were good I was wondering if members could offer creative suggestions of their own creation. I am stomped on some numbers which just don't immediately correlate to a letter. I tried to concentrate on the number and an immediate visual meaning or correlation. For example numbers like 7 & luck therefore g for gambler, and l3 & unlucky therefore m for broken mirror worked well. Some of the CD recommendations worked well from a number letter association, but were difficult visual images - 14 & Know/No ? Theatre. Being creatively impaired, I would welcome creative suggestions.

quote:
1=A for Activist /because for me I see an activist as one of the FIRST to step up for a cause.

8=H for High school/ I was number 8 in academic rank in my high school class.

11=K for Knob/ I took Margaret's idea of a door and put a knob on it.

15=O for October/ For some reason, I kept seeing October 15th as an important day, but I couldn't understand why. I photoread the dictionary under "O" and came upon October and read that it's the eight month of the ancient Roman year. Immediately, I remembered something I learned in Latin class years ago: "march, july, OCTOBER, may, the Ides fall on the 15th day."

22=V for violin/ I play the violin and the 2's resemble 'f' holes when one of the 2's is switched around.

13=M for mystery/ I think of the 13th floor in a building that the elevator does not stop at and it's a MYSTERY to me what's on that floor and how you get there.

16=P for party/ You have a birthday party to celebrate your sweet sixteen.

14=N for nickel/ 1+4 = 5 for the worth of a nickel.

4 - Durango -- it has 4 doors
8 - Hamill -- Dorothy Hamill skates figure 8's
10 - Jet -- A DC10 is a jet
11 - Kicker -- might be a stretch, but the goal posts also look like an 11 (H just didn't work out...)
13 - Mirror -- 13 is supposed to be bad luck and so is breaking a mirror

Any ideas for T (20)? I'm stuck on that. Tennis has no meaning for me and I want a more meaningful association. Thanks.

Did something special happen to you when you were 20? Something you could attach a T to?

Does 20 have any significance in your life?

Get into an alpha bw & see what you have out there.

I mean, look at it. 2 could be a swam and 0 a lake. Theme song Swan Lake. It's endless really.

How about Two x Ten = 20?

I have a question for you all, hoping that you may shed some light on my problem. I am currently in medical school, and I want to improve my studying. Here's my situation. There are alot of diseases that I want to be familiar with. Each has its own symptoms/signs. How can I improve my skill at associating a disease to the symptoms/signs when they are presented to me? For example, if a patient comes with a particular rash on the face for 3 days duration with a fever of 102 degree and some other unique symptoms. How can I train myself to associate those unique symptoms to some possible diseases? Please advise.
