Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer would PR work in academic reading part of IELTS?

In the International English Language Test {IELTS} the section on academic reading is always keeping my overall result low. what make that comprehension section of IELTS tougher than many other type of English examination is it wasn't all multiple-choice{mcq} format and 3 huge passages with 2700 words each!!! In only one hour the question can be paragraph detecting, transfer info into diagrams and completing summary. It's very tough because of the time limit. I tried PR but can only score 5.5 at the firs time and recently 6.0. i need at least 7.5 in this section so would be easier for me to gett at least an average overall band of 7.0 to study dentistry in India.

Is there any advice on answering comprehension in IELTS using PR skills? PR only work best in the mcq section but little help in other sections like "true, false,not given", "matching idea/topic with paragraph".

I PR many guide book and all books stated that we skim and scan the passage first. I did. Some said underline trigger words of questions and look for related part in the passage. It's like postview and superead and dipping in PR. HOWEVER, when i bring the "trigger words" to superead and dip in the passage, i found myself totally lost and dun know what to do, where exactly the answer is. Plus, i'm always worry if i will run out of time. FEAR+nervous+frustration=lower band !!! I really hope PR will help me here.

My other friend score higher band than me in the comprehension technique. He answered faster than me, went out for sometime(to the lavatory) and come back, answer the rest questions, and...sleep!! I strained myself to answer the questions....but to no avail!!

Change the rules. PhotoRead all the pages of the exam. Then Read the questions and then superread and dip the passages for the answers. I know all the guide books tell you to read the passages first but that strikes me as a dumb waste of time. If you don't know the questions how can you read for answers? No scientist or researcher first looks at all the information and then asks the questions. The questions always come before we look for information.

that's another problem in itself. I suggest using the Paraliminal Anxiety Free in the week before the exam.

in a section, we hv to determine whether the given statement is "true", "false" or "not given"? How can i effectively done that section using PR skill? I always fail miserably there as if PR din work on that section. When i superead and dip to determine whether it is true, false and not given, i can't see my inner mind is giving me any signals!!

This is an analytical task. Therefore you would PhotoRead it to allow the non-conscious mind to start processing information then rapid read it to see if you get the answer. Naturally slowed them to analytical reading speed, if necessary.

Since you are a visual person, I suggest you ask yourself to make an internal cue one of the techniques I use is to wish all eyes and object if the object for me is sharp or straight. Then the answer is yes, if the object is circular, rounded than the answer is no for undecided on a usually get a grey object or image. Sometimes I even get images of traffic lights, red stop (no), green go (yes) and orange caution.

Two set this up, I simply went to my accelerated learning state and reflected on the queues wanted to have. So now, if I see sissors in my eye I know I have the answers yes and if I see a beachball, the answer is no.
