I have listened to quite a few paraliminals for large periods of time, and have had little change. Agreed, they are not hypnosis or subliminals, but perhaps some of us are similarly less receptive to such subconscious suggestions. Me being one.

Perhaps, since Paul has worked on so many ideas and programs, his successful strategy is to take an area of self-improvement, and try to squeeze out all and any goodness available, even if it is only say, a 5% improvement that is practically unnoticeable in our lives. But hey, something is better than nothing right? Tiny changes are better than nothing, because nothing large has been discovered yet. So that makes them big for us.

Hope you guys don't mind these questions, I understand they may sound rather subjective, but I would really be interested in finding out what others have to say and what the answers would be.

If the claims were backed up by solid research, valid/clear levels of measurement of results, or more detailed external references I would feel less inclined to inquire. Too often we accpet what magazines, media, internet and companies tell us without asking for proper research. If anyone can point me out to such material, I would definitely be happy to read it. The web site is very general in this sense.

cheers.

Do you believe that proper research really exists, or is it rather a method to prove a hypothesis of the author? I have been a research scientist for 30 years and hold a PhD from one of the best universities in Australia. I have witnessed all kind of forgeries of data to prove a hypothesis and reach publication so that the paper won't get rejected by peers!

In any experiment, unless you concentrate on specific factors and remove all the others, you will not get a reliable answer about how effective the tested factors are.

I can say that the Paraliminals have helped me in improving my life. I do not claim they cause dramatic changes. I also follow other methods of personal improvement. I also take supplements and homeopathic remedies to help myself. I want to get better in life and I see it happening. The Paraliminal made a contribution in my opinion.

If you want to test how good LSC products are, I recommend you buy and use the Photoreading program which is rather unique in its kind. There is a similar product on the market, but I do not believe it is the same. As long as you have a healthy lifestyle and are not under very heavy stress from the world surrounding you, give a hard try to Photoreading. Don't give up if you find it hard and do not have immediate success. You will be able to verify by yourself how good the results are by reading books and remembering essential concepts contained in them. If you have problems, there is a most helpful forum moderated by Alex, who has lots of experience in Photoreading.

Thanks for your response. Maybe 'proper' research does not exist, but something more solid, if any is always good. Peer reviews are great for scientific research, but of course it would probably not work as a format for something that is more in the areas of selling and advertising towards the general public. At the end of the day it comes down to your own beliefs and experiences, hence my speculations. But glad it has benefited you.

I do have the photoreading course, have used it for a while for my studies and am still hoping for the benefits - not that I don't think there will be any, given the idea of using the whole brain.

I totally agree. We cannot demonstrate much in the personal development industry. I tend to be suspicious about testimonial who clearly provide favourable opinions about a certain product. The sampling of the opinions is biased for marketing purposes.

In my view you need to rely on some opinions from people on a forum where everybody can freely express their views. Then you can try the product and see how far you get. Persistence is the most important quality you need to apply. Almost nothing works like magic with little effort.

One problem with a lot of research. You cannot remove the human from the research. You will always deal with a person pros or cons.

One thing I have found with Paraliminals more is not better I use them about once a week and have a specific purpose for listening. I'm picking one tonight to deal with the problem I am having with a stalker.

Steve34-------Not too many programs work for me, either. I really like SFQ, though,, I quit practicing. I am also interested in
Seeds of Enlightenment, but I am a procrastinator. So I put the brakes on buying any new programs because I will not complete them.

Check out Burt Goldman---The American Monk

There are some amazing testimonials on his blog.
People use his methods to get themselves going in the direction they want to go, whether it is making themselves exercise, lose weight, learn new things, fears, lack, money and job issues, ect..

He has a free trial (or use to) ---just sign up and you will mailed 7 lessons. So far, I think he has the best multi- purpose program that I have ever seen. You will see what I mean. He has got all the bases covered.

I bought his Mindbox in hopes of it giving me the kick in the a** that I need. I have many unfulfilled parts of myself that I am just tired of. I also have a life-long anxiety problem. I think that much of this is on a spiritual level. I really that for me SFQ is the answer. I just need a boost to get there.

Hope this helps, Flower

Flower,

I am getting some success from Ho'oponopono about getting my life more together and stop procrastinating. Google the term and follow the links. There is lots of good, free stuff. Good luck!

Uniquesoul---I took a look at this Ho'oponopono stuff, and there seems to be a lot of info. Some of it by Joe Vitale who I don't like or trust. But, if you could refer me to a specific place, maybe I would be interested if it is free. I will take a longer look later. I have heard of Huna many years ago; I can't remember who it was by, other than a blonde guy, that was famous for The Time Line stuff.

I don't have any money to spend, and if it is too difficult at this point, I might not do it. I just don't like figuring things out---I just want to do it. If that makes sense. However, some things require that you just "plug in" so to speak. Those are the ones I like. I use to be analytical and studied way too many things. A simple approach I like.

Did you check out Burt Goldman?

Thanks for the info Flower

Flower, let me know how you like Mind Box--you can pm me if you want. I've been toying with trying that one for awhile now. I do like Burt Goldman. He had a completely awesome book out a few years back, something about "self mind control" or similar wording, and it helped me through some things.
