I have a few questions on the photoreading process.

1. Does it matter, if I see the page writing blurry when I photoread.

2. Instead of previewing for key words in the book I intend to photoread, would it be effective to read a synopsis of the book. That way, we would know the key words and have an idea of what the book is about.

3. I'm concerned that the reason I am not getting results from photoreading as of yet, is that when I photoread, I don't think I am maintaining an alpha state of mind. Generally, in order to get into an alpha state of mind, I watch and listen to one of those relaxtion videos on youtube and also listen to it while I photoread. Yet, because I'm so excited about the prospect of photoreading, my mind tracks off. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

1) It should be blurry, be content with this. This tells you that you're taking the book in with your peripheral vision. That's what you want to happen.

2)I would take out preview altogether. Do a photoread first, and THEN do a post-view, same thing as a preview, just done after photoreading.
You can do whatever you want to learn more about the book, but also skim through it to get an idea of where the information you want is. Just an idea, you don't even have to spend much time on this.

3)Do you feel relaxed? That's all you should be worried about. Don't concern yourself with the states of mind, brainwaves, etc. If you are relaxed, flipping pages in a rhythmic pattern, and taking the book in with peripheral vision, you will be photoreading.

I think the main problem with the photoreaders is: we try to do something complicated, cause we don't believe that it is really that simple.
For example, today i've PR a book on a PC with confidence. I thought "what a heck, why not, i have nothing better do". Picked up a book about self development. Photoread it.
I didn't pronounce my purpose, i've just played a small movie in my head how will i use this knowledge)) It was kind of like a trailer to a movie.
So... after i PR(my Accelerated learning state was provided by my imagination. What i mean is, i imagined myself in a garden sleeping. No 3-2-1 procedure was neccessary)) and incubated (1.5 hours) i picked 2 questions(i didn't write down any trigger words). The SR step... it is basically just moving your eyes down the page. Not reading anything, you don't even have to think just slide down. But important thing is :always keep your question in your head! I've did it and it worked great =)
How did i know where to dip? After i SR my eyes literally pointed my attention to a line. I couldn't ignore it and move forward without reading it. And what do you know, i've got my answer).
So what i am saying is. Forget about the steps. It is never about the steps. In my opininon Paul Scheele should'nt have put those instructions in the book, because people think that you have to do everything precise. But PR is all about thinking differently and for each book you have to do different steps.

Thanks guys. I'll try and take your advice. I do agree with you AndriDem. I think what you're saying is one of the main reasons for having no success yet. I'm thinking about the process too much. Hopefully, I'll get it soon.

No, read a synopsis during postview.

If you're worrying about your state while PhotoReading you're setting up blocks. Stick to a chant to occupy the conscious mind.
