Here are a few questions for those who are a bit more knowledgeable about Qigong.

1. If I understand correctly, the small universe goes like this:

a. Dantian (navel)
b. Jing Gong (male)/ Kuan Yuan (female) (bladder)
c. Huiyin (perineum)
d. Chang Qiang (tail bone)
e. What's this point? (lower back)
f. Ming Men (kidney)
g. Ta Chui (spinal cord of neck)
h. Yu Zhen (base of head)
i. Bai hui (top of head)
j. Yin Tang (third eye)
k. Hsuan Chi (throat)
l. Shan Zhong (heart)

I don't know which point he's referring to at the lower back. Does anyone know?

2. Does anyone know why he skips the solar plexus center (Chung Wan) and its opposite center in the back (Chi Chung)?

3. And why he doesn't do the opposite center of the heart in the back (Gia-Pe)

Thanks for your response!

Hi Don,
Micro Orbit exercise is like a great music composition. Different teachers/masters have slightly different interpretations of the practice. There is variation that exists. You choose a teacher and make a choice. In SFQ, the practice method is referred to as small universe.

Regarding small universe, breathing into an 'area' includes the specific points you reference, plus the area you breath energy into from all directions.

I can't answer the other specfic questions. I am aware of the differences between methods, like you mention. I found Master Lin's method more effective than previous ways I have been shown. For myself, his method really took the whole of it somewhere else, completely. There is much more to the practice than the details you mention. Physical/universal 'and' spiritual energy/qi, breathing, visualizations, passwords, mergings, ohm, emptiness...

Wisdom arises from emptiness, and Master Lin spends a lot of time there. He is a very high level meditation master, and in the experience of meditation practices can evolve. He is also a healer as well as a teacher. There is much additional experience and learning in experience, regarding healing work.

Hi, here's my input...

1. Not 100% sure what this point is, all I know is that it's the spine-point between the two kidneys. Could be *any* of the ones in that area.

2. I don't know why he skips those points.
However, I do happen to know that they get opened when you move the energy past them anyways. I've added the Solar Plexus into my SFQ practice a year or so ago.

3. Couln't tell ya.
