Hi,
I live in Pennsylvania, found out about SFQ just a little under two years ago and it has become a central part of my life since then. I have had the wonderful opportunity to get to MN to participate in 17 classes/retreats with Master Lin and his staff and am now helping to spread SFQ to this area. We're providing free SFQ practice and introductory sessions in partnership with a wonderful organic spa in this area, the juju spa & organics, along with qi balancing sessions and SFQ level 1 classes. Just recently found your wonderful Learning Strategies resource and I have been methodically working my way through all the postings (slowly but surely!) because I am finding them useful. They answer a number of lingering questions that I have and also provide good insight into experiences that others go through.
Now to my question! I am very impressed with the support from Shawn as well as others and was curious. Shawn, if I might focus on you as the moderator, maybe I'll come across this later but haven't seen yet, could you share your "SFQ story", would be curious to know more.
Not sure I have figured out yet how best to navigate this resource and the Forum, so if you have any tips, that would be great too!
Thanks kindly.
Much love, Lynn
Lynn

Hi Lynn, With regard to your comment about navigating the forum; don't make the mistake I made early on. In trying to search for topics (after signing in) I tried to use the brown 'search' box at the top of the page... WRONG! After fiddling around for a while I discovered the 'search the forums' link, a couple of rows further down in blue... RIGHT! Hope this tip might save you and others some frustration. Cheers, Norman

Thanks, Norman!
Think I have the right button with your help, now - thanks! Maybe I am doing something else wrong? I have tried a couple of searches (e.g. "full lotus" or "emptiness," etc.) and selected SFQ and 4 years, but I'm not pulling up any dialogs.
Much love, Lynn

That's strange because when I do a search on 'emptiness' I find 5 pages of results! I wonder have you selected the correct forum from the menu within the search page? There is a large number to choose from. I'm not sure what else to suggest except to experiment at bit and try again.
Cheers, Norman

Thanks, Norman, you're a dear!
It was me, guess I didn't do the timing correctly (now putting in newer than 4 years and older than 1 day), but with your suggestions bumbled my way through and now, lo and behold, I'm getting lots of responses as well.
Thanks for taking the time to help me out.
Love Lynn

Aloha LSB,
My SFQ story is an ongoing journey full of fun, interesting, and learning experiences which I share as they become pertinent to questions posted here.
I currently assist SFQ on their International Guild's executive counsel, and develop SFQ material and events through Learning Strategies.
Having participated in a handful of SFQ classes and retreats, you must have run into my wife Darcie Gustine, who works with Chunyi on clients at the Healing Center. You may have even heard Chunyi tell a story or two of my son Isaiah (sometimes when you're 4, 5, or 6 years old, qigong comes in handy to help someone you've pushed on the playground or who has a bad tummy ache in school).
Success with your work in Pennsylvania.
Much Love,
Shawn

Thanks, Shawn,
Yes, along with many others, I am a huge fan of your wonderful wife. As you probably know, in a recent retreat, some of the other master healers were saying they wanted to BE Darcie.
Thanks for the clarifications. And, thanks for your kind words.
Much love,
Lynn
