I'm shopping for a desk for my office which is in the NE sector of my house but in the N sector of my office. It is hard to find a blue desk. And I am not fond of black furniture. Metal and glass stuff seems too hard and cold. I'm wondering...would it be bad to put wood here? Particularly if it is a reddish or orangey or yellowish hue? Since it is in the NE sector of the house I'm wondering if I can get away with this. BTW the walls of the room are white and the carpet is a creamy beige. I would appreciate any help in this area.

Hi,

Marie speaks of the importance of having a desk that represents stature and empowerment. In general a strong wood desk is going to be your best bet along with a sturdy high-backed chair. Glass topped desks do not promote strenght and groundedness in your business. You may find that it is difficult to have clarity and focus with a glass topped desk. Choose the desk from the perspective of you as royalty sitting in this place and doing the work that matters to you in the world and for the world. It will be more important to also be sure that you are in oriented in the position of power in the room.

The NE symbolizes spirituality, empowerment and wisdom, all in all a great direction to operate in. Be sure that you are facing one of your personal best directions and you are out of the flow of direct traffic from the door. The NE is also represented by small earth. You'll want to bring a bit of earth energy in to balance and activate the energy of the NE. Fire enhances earth so that is a great accent to include as well. Play with it and see how you feel.

All the best,
Kat
