Dear all,

I have a question to the exercise 7 steps to new life. Watching the video I understood that I pump the energy as follows: left leg + lower dantian then right leg + lower dantian, then left leg + heart then right leg + heart and so on. After reading the manual it seems as follows: left leg + lower dantian, right leg + heart, left leg + shoulders, then right leg + throat and so on.

I am a bit confused how to do the exercise.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Left leg to lower Dantain, down...
Right Leg to heart, down...
Left leg to shoulders, down...
right leg to throat, down...
etc.

"Always start with you left leg and alternate through the exercise."

Many thanks, Shawn!

It also felt much better when I did it as described in the manual.

I am very happy that I am finally practicing SFQ. It is amazing to feel the energy move in my body. And the changes in me resulting from that practice are fascinating.

Astrid

So, for round 1:
Left leg to lower Dantian, down...
Right ......

Round 2:
RIGHT leg to lower Dantian, down...

Round 3:
Left leg to lower Dantian,...

What I mean by "round" is: after plunging the energy up and down (starting with the left leg), once you get to the top of the head (Left leg), I then start again with the Lower Dantian. But for the second round, lower Dantian gets the right leg (since top of the head got Left).

My question is: What does "Always start with the Left leg then alternate" mean? Does it mean that Lower Dantian always gets the left leg? In every round/repetition of the exercise?

Second question: I visualize the energy going up and down the channels 'using' my hands. For example for the neck channel, when I inhale I visualize energy going up my foot and then I 'guide' it up to my neck with my hands. So, my hand movements are much larger than the ones Master Lin does on the video. Does this excess movement of my arms affect my openning channels in a negative way? I try to correct it, but I concentrate on visualizing the energy going up and down the channels and I forget about correcting my arm movement. If it is crucial, then I will focus less on the energy visualization and pay more attention to my movement.

I would appreciate any advice/comments on this.

Thank you very much.

Good questions as always Tasha,

Regarding the "steps," there are two ways of looking at it:

One is as if it doesn't matter. At this point, Master Lin is teaching the 7-Steps with the feet staying on the ground, or raising and lowering the heels.

The other is to think of it as if you were doing it while walking in a circle. You just keep "walking" or alternating steps until you've completed your last "seven."

In regards to the hands helping your visualization, consider this...once your palms up hands come up to chest level, beyond that it starts bind up at the wrists or shoulders unless you adjust your hands.

Lift them and the energy up to chest-level and feel your hands energetically rise with the energy, continue rise to the next level, turn as you turn your physical hands and go back down.

Much Love,

Shawn
