A reputable Neigong teacher said it is dangerous to do healing without a very high level of expertise and training. He explained that the sick chi will accumulate over time and cause serious problems for the healer unless they are highly trained and spend several hours a day doing qigong.

How does SFQ avoid this danger, or is there a danger?

Aloha King Kabalabhati,

Good question.

Depending on the healing practice you follow, there will be different ways they view and relate to "sick Qi." Some have you throw it in a bowl of water, etc. As Chunyi likes to say "there are many ways to cook a potato."

From a SFQ perspective, "sick Qi" is not good or bad, rather its energy at the wrong place, time, or speed. In SFQ we do not bring that energy into us, rather we are transforming and guiding it out, back to the universe where it can be recycled and used in a different way.

Much Love, Shawn
