From my religious perspective, giving respect and credibility to the sun as a being or power in itself as opposed to being one of God's creations, would be considered a form of idoltary. Can this be either done or explained in a different way?

What is every-'thing' other than energy?
Think of it (the sun) rather as an extension of Power. The sun is energy, so are you. Awareness of energy flow and being able to control it, by *not trying to control it*, IS Power.

You're not 'worshiping' the sun, but the sun *is* Divine, (and so are you). You don't 'worship' yourself do you? ...but surely you respect yourself as a 'Divine instrument'. Think of it from 'that perspective'

Another way of looking at it, would be to say, that since the sun is 'from God' it is Divine and should be respected, also with the Earth. You don't 'worship them' (by putting your power less than theirs) but see and respect them as EQUAL--because they (and you) are all energy, and 'from God'

Hope that helps light it up for you.

P.S. (one thing that kinda hit me after I typed this)

The sun shines vast amounts of energy, it radiates outwards to the ends of the Universe. If you 'send your gratitude' for your healing, and place it with the sun, it'll send out your intention 'to the Universe' even faster......

If you've taken a look at Quantum "theories" such as 'The Law of Attraction', you would know that 'by being grateful for something good coming to you, and visualizing that you already have it' (even if it didn't happen "yet" according to linear time) it will manifest even faster... Just a few extra thoughts...

Thanks Zakyrus for a clear in depth response. What your saying is that being that everything was created by God everything is spiritual which can be represnted by energy. Respecting the energy of an object is respecting its spirituality and not as a master. I do believe that there is a vast amount of energy radiating from the sun. However, inviting the sun can be misinterpeted as the sun as a powerful being as opposed to just be a more spiritual creation which gives us more ability to tap into it's energy.

I have been aware of the general quantam theory which states that physical objects are affected by the observer. This has been backed by studies, and seems to be accepted even by people in the conventional world. the law of attraction I've heard of but not so familiar with. I do believe that there is a tremendous power in the mind and that positive thoughts can bring positive results.
