Hi~
Im major in engineering,so i tended to use PR to deal with all my subjects like maths, physics n mechanics etc.But the thing is,it just doesn't work.
I rethink my strategies n trials n i don't i went wrong at Preparation n PR.i believe it is the activation that stop me,or,to be specific, the step of "preview before PR"," review after PR",n "the activation" all together.

During the preview or review,i note down some key words or sentences, then ask my brain abt them during "the slipping",bt just nothing,no call,no pause,no special reflects what-so-ever,which makes me hv to go back to the catalogue, check the place n read them normally.I think it doesn't make sense,n is it the way i raised questions makes it different?

n another thing is, i always failed to build up a system after my reading like what PR recommended during the activation since the info i got is just smashed i had to read through the book to put them back in n at the same time, achieving a level of comprehension.

Thx very much for help!

If you are having trouble with activation then your purpose is poor. You've not clarified a purpose.

Preview and postviewing is intended to help build curiosity and find places in the book where you can get the comprehension that meets your purpose.

I suggest you work on your activation skills on books not related to schooling or studies. Take books that interest you of about 200 pages. Learn how to set your purpose, ask mind probing questions on other books first.

I also suggest you use mind mapping when it comes to subjects that you need to remember at a later date. The mind maps make reviewing and memorising what you learned easier.

How many photoreaders are there in South Africa, and i think its a great idea to interact through facebook.Sometimes when you study something you only need someone who is doing what you are doing. That is just a suggestion
