Please, I need some clarification about massaging our kidneys, tail bone, and top of the hands. In the course Chunyi very briefly says what is the benefit of massaging each part, however it's not clear to me how long the massage should last, and how exactly to do it.

Besides, is it equally beneficial to massage the parts (hands, ears, tail bone, etc) any time, even without having done the meditation before?

Thank you!

You can do these massages without the meditation. There are acupressure points in the hands and ears that can be stimulated to alleviate pain in certain parts of the body. I'm not an authority on this - I don't have any pain. You can look up information about this stuff on the internet, there's a lot to be found.

As long as you want. You could make an entire meditation practice out of it if you like. Just a few moments can be very effective, I'd imagine that doing it for a half hour or so would be very benificial. --although if you are going to do it for that long, you'd probably want to be focused on the dantien and also do a closing excersise afterwards, just in case...
