I have recently started using the Anxiety Free Paraliminal, and I have a question about the best way to use it. I have been listening to it twice a day, once over my lunch hour, and once at night. I seem to be struggling with reaching the state Mr. Scheele is talking about. I sort of feel like my mind is not relaxing into the paraliminal. I am falling asleep very quickly when I listen at night, and my mind tends to drift to weird places when I try to listen to it during the day. This is only my third day of trying, I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same kind of issues, and if it's common. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly it depend on your listening purpose. I wouldn't be inclined to use it more than once a day on Arising. Think of the situations you expect during the day that usually triggers anxiety and listen with the intention of addressing that.

Select the session that seems most appropriate. Check the booklet that comes with the Paraliminal to help you decide.

I don't recommend using the Paraliminal to help you fall asleep unless the problem is sleep or dream anxiety. Try not to use that Paraliminal as a sleep aid just because you fall asleep listening to them.

Don't try to listen to the voices, just allow yourself to relax into the listening session. The mind will wander, mine usually does. It's feels a bit like dreaming sometimes as I often drift close to sleep listening to them. Each Paraliminal, each session, each listening session produces different experiences during listening. I've learned not to judge them. In the beginning I used to say, well that wasn't what I expected. We're too quick to go into the judgment that we did something wrong or it was wrong.

Now I just listen to them without expectation other than the intent I have that they serve my listening purpose. Then I usually wait and see what happens over the next couple of days. Letting go of the judgment I might have about the listening session. Like that wasn't as deep as I thought I could go. What's all that weird stuff that my conscious mind was processing. Wow I was totally zonked I wonder if I was even listing? Nope let them all go and wait and see. I know something comes of listening to the Paraliminal and it will only be as big as I allow it to be. And I gain more when I don't put on the breaks of doubting.
