I don't know how to approach this, so this might be a longish explanation.

In October, 2004, five friends and I went on a vacation in Arkansas. We rented a house boat for 4 days. Without fail, every day, I was the last person to go to bed and the first person to wake up. I would go to sleep at 1, 2, 3 or 4 AM, and wake up between 6 and 7 AM. I would get up feeling refreshed and ready.

Some friends woke up two or three hours after I did. Others slept until noon or later. I could understand there perspective. Work was very stressful for one friend in particular, so she was de-stressing and sleeping until noon.

My perspective, though, was "how can they waste this day?" After being up for half an hour and finally realizing that I would be alone for the next two hours, I would go swimming or climbing or skip some rocks on the lake. I was excited to be there and could go a whole day on 4 or 5 hours of sleep without taking any naps later in the day. I didn't take a nap until before I drove home.

So here is my question:
How can I translate this energy and enthusiasm to my daily life and to my work?

It's weird to know that this level of energy exists within me, yet I see little sign of it when I am home or working.

My main guess is the kinesthetic quality of the vacation is what motivated me, while my work consists of sitting at a desk and computer for 8 or more hours each day.

Any and all feedback is appreciated. I'm wondering if there is a Paraliminal CD that can be used to answer my question above.

Many thanks!

I doubt it would have lasted 3 months. You would have started sleeping longer again. The reason it is so easy on a vacation is because it is so different from the demands of earning a living. You've got a whole new routine. You were outdoors and I'll bet you work indoors. There were also less stresses like getting stuck in traffic, making sure you get your report in on time. So you were more in the here and now while on vacation,

If you want to find the energy you had while on vacation you'll have to look at adding more adventure to your daily routine. Have more BBQs, do more outside in the morning before you go to work. Make sure you have more variety in your day. Once you've decided what habits you might need to build the ethusiasum for being more in the now moment use the New Behaviour Generator.
