While it seems easy enough to visualize what you do want, how do you deal with things that you want to remove from your life? If you try and visualize something not being there then this may attract more of it?

One possibility could be to visualize the exact opposite of what you don't want but this isn't always possible.

Any suggestions?

I have had friends visualize their warts going away, and it worked.

If you have a mental image of something not being in your life, then that is a mental image, right? So just visualize that.

That's where you need to consider what would your life be without the problem. That's what you visualise. Whatever your life would be like without that problem/ focus/ issue/ challenge.

One old technic for ridding oneself of things is to visualize them dissolving. You must disolve them until you feel the energy leave the body or they show up somewhere else. Like ice to water and water to steam.
It takes some focus but works very well.

Thanks. I love the image of ice to water. By changing where I put my energy, focus, my new vision happens effortlessly. I no longer have not dissolve the ice = my old ways of fixing me. I just enjoy the vision of what water is like and do what comes up along the way. Boy, I love this course.

I was taught this trick when I was giving up smoking (yes I did give it up!) Imagine the unwanted thing (eg a packet of smokes)attached to you by a very thick chain, now cut the chain & watch it float off into the distance untill it becomes a speck & disappears entirely. This only works for physical things but it's very effective.
