I have a question. I have had a breathing problem since December 1. For some reason everytime I breathe everything I do comes from the left side of my body. Whether I am sitting, standing, laying down its like one side of my lungs is working. All the air is coming from the left. I have taken a chest xray, an ultrasound on my abdomen and pelivis, and a blood test still nothing. My pulminologist thinks that I might have a mass in my neck that is preventing air from going to the right. I am not sure. On Monday I am having an endoscopy done and hopefully they could find something. I have been very frustrated. Air only on one side of the body. If you have any suggestions on what I may have please respond. Thank you. In addition, I am only 20 years old and I play tennis so this thing that I have is puzzling.

Andrea;

You could have an energy blockage in the neck or upper spine. What is possible to do is get put on the Saturday Healing for Spring Forest Qigong or you could talk to Shawn at Learning Strategies and see about getting a phone appointment with Master Lin.

If the Doctors find no evidence of what is bothering you, possibly a Herbalist in Chinese medicine could help or Accupuncture.

Sometimes it could be an alignment problem and a chiroprator could be of much help.

Those are some choices.

Jeff

When I had breathing problems and severe shortness of breath in the past it was always related to stress and anxieties in my life.. and realizing I had a "breathing problem" made it even worst, because now I was thinking I have a problem with my health on top of whatever was going on... slowing down, relaxing, finding my way our of the anxiety and stress eliminated my breathing problems completely... I hope you'll find your way out soon too.. also emofree.com offers a technique called EFT - emotional freedom technique - I'd try tapping on your breathing problem and whatever aspects that brings to mind, like the frustration that the doctors can't find the cause, or the stress it brings you... I also found this: "Conscious Breathing" by Gay Hendricks, PhD. This book was highly endorsed by Dr. Andrew Weil who described it as "the best book on breathing out there. Maybe it will have suggestions that will help you - good luck -Maya
