If you want a good list of books to read about the ideas discussed in that article, try the suggested reading list that LSC has. I've got several of them on my self.
After not too long, you see a few common ideas in all of the self-help, self-improvement, enlightenment books. What seems to varies is the combinations of techniques and ideas that the authors suggest for accessing these commonalities. Which is great, because the recipe that works for me may have to be a little from here and a little from there. Personally, I haven't found what that has been the perfect match for me. At the same time, I wouldn't say that the suggested techniques are invalid.
The most important thing about any or all of these methods, isn't the ideas, or even the learning of these ideas. It's the actually consistent and continual use of them. Or at least that's my feel for these things.
