I saw this on another group site and thought it might be of interest
to some of you who have talked about the power of group prayer and
intention.
The Annual World Healing Day
World Healing Day is a global linkup for world peace and healing.
This annual event, originally known as World Earth Healing Day, was
first held on October 12 in 1996, and has since been held on July 19-
20 in 1997, May 25 in 1998, August 11 in 1999, May 4 in 2000, June
21 in 2001, and August 22 in 2002. In 2003, World Healing Day will
be held on September 10.
World Healing Day is about uniting to raise world consciousness
through the power of collective intent. By dedicating a day to this
process, and establishing one or more linkup times, we provide an
opportunity for a concentrated focus of positive thought, feeling,
and action to be created and held by large numbers of people around
the world at the same time. We believe this to be one way of
furthering the healing and transformation of the Planet.

In the June Sedona Seminar (I just saw the video and there were some
edited portions, by the way), Dr. David Hawkins talks about the power of
prayer and holding intentions toward people around the world..
saying the prayers and intentions of individual with high LOCs can
do more good than "sacks of flour" for the poor and "misfortunate."

I went to a Peace Prayer last night at the local SGI Community
Center and participated in Gongyo and Daimoku for world peace. It
was a powerful experience.
I'd like to offer the suggestion of participating in the above
mentioned world healing day to anyone who is interested. What do
you have to lose?
