The first step is getting clear on the difference between form and content.
The content is just about any filler you may be talking about. A subject or whatever. The form is what the NLP trainers demonstrate.
For instance, at a Bandler seminar I went up to him and started talking to him about this guy in New Orleans that something he said reminded me of. He started talking about it, too, but all the while he was doing the patterns he was demonstrating earlier.
So, we were having a conversation about BS (content) while he was demonstrating the form or structure I was at the training to learn. The two had nothing to do with each other.
When people at seminars ask questions about the details of a pattern, the instructors will address their question in content, and as they do so they will repeat the form or pattern asked about within that communication.
It's covert in terms of not being consciously pointed to ... and that, I think, is intentional because it is aimed at creating unconscious competence in the learner ... meaning the conscious mind doesn't need to be involved in the process.
Sneaky, but it works.
