What indicators do people use to compare their progress with PR? How do you measure progress? Is PR purely subjective? If so, does that mean progress is only relative and can be misinterpreted.

I would say that the measurement of progress would be an individual thing. I have been pleased with my results particularly with direct learning. But then again I expect to succeed.

Things like my spelling improving, being able to rapid read and comprehend quicker, having a feeling like I am already familiar with the material, spontaneous activations, etc. For me this process has been quite a success. Of course I am striving to improve in many areas. For example it would be great to be able to recall the material as well as Pete does but that will come with time.

- Go the library and take a reading speed and comprehension test. Most PhotoReaders would have doubled, tripled, or quadrupled their regular reaading speed.

- Take a class on books and then take a test.

- Find a friend who is reading a non-fiction book. After she is finished with it, use the PhotoReading whole mind system on it (spend about 1/3 the time you would have spent reading it regular). Then talk with your friend about the book for 15 to 30 to 60 minutes--you will probably know more about the book than she.

- Go get a graduate degree using nothing but the PhotoReading whole mind system.

- Prepare a speech or report on something using three to five books. Spend less time than you would normall.
