First of all thank you all. I think if it wouldn't be for this DB I'd given up already. PR success so far is rather "subtle".
For the last three weeks I was PRing 3 books 4 evening a week. (Fulltime work + daughter and the rest of it, so the earliest I can start is by 9.30 pm, if I allow myself 30 min bliss of simply being in my "comfort zone"), leaves me only an hour at the most, because there is meditation and workout, too.

I bought the course almost 2 years ago, no immediate success, left it, came back - you know the story...

The subtle success?: After PRing a novel, when reading in a normal fashion scenes would come alive, more like pictures instead of sentences in a row. Only once, though and the book was in my native tongue. Living abroad gives me only limited access to my native books - so

Next step: "If I want it to work in English as well, let's do something about it, shall we?"
--> Dictionary game: about 90% I get the page right, but not the position. And from what I see there is no systematic error in placing the words wrong. I tried placing them by visualizing, moving them around but I'm lacking the feel for it. I guess I'd like to have the feeling as if you insert a piece of a puzzle or a lego and it fits.

I'd like to play the dictionary game more succesfully. A babystep if you will, mostly to give me more reliable data and confidence, because what I have is rather - well, subtle.

Please, give me your experience with the dictionary game.

By the way I also recruited the Thinkfast for this project, especially game 6, working memory. I noticed, that the more patterns there are on the flash screen, the more my unconscious mind steers my fingers and I get several right answers. Imagine having a question set before you and your fingers are already pushing the right button, before you even read the problem! But sure enough, at this point my conscious mind plays general and brings the whole train to a screeching halt: What did you just do, who did this, how did you do this, this can't be and there we are: sad train in the dessert.

Summary: To all who are succesful with the dictionary game: How do you know the words are there, do you see it in your mind, do you hear someone saying the number of the page (I have no success whatsoever with the page number).

Any suggestions on how to improve the conditions for the game (for instance: what should be the purpose stated before the PRing (I PR every time before starting to try to find words), recommendations for simple excercises (especially not time-consuming!!!) to improve recall?

I'm all ears and eyes for your suggestions!

Happyday

Hello 'Happyday' ... this is the Fonz!

Well, here comes my spill on things.

The fact that you have decided to take up PR again, is in my opinion a good one. I too, like you, have a wife and two testosterone energized boys! I too exercise, running up and down the stairs trying to catch my boys - more of a cardio workout really!

You mentioned that you have been doing PR'ing for about three weeks, 3 to 4 books a day around 9 PM ... thats great. You also mentioned that you get at least the page right 90 % of the time ... I assume this means on the left / right side of page. That is rather remarkable considering you have only been PR'ing for 3 weeks ... we should be asking you what 'your' secret is!

The secret, go easy on yourself, give yourself time and most importantly, give yourself credit where credit is due ... you have already attained a great achievement,
the guessing of which page 90% of the time!!!

As I've said many time before ... my prood was when going thru the PR course was the ablility to 'rapid read' the entire PR book in under 15 minutes with complete understanding!!!

The dictionary game for many, is a way of proving that PR works ... it does! How you ask? Try the 5 day plan ... see and feel what kind of results you get, there's no disputing the results of the five day plan!

Some tips for you ...

Believe

Practice, Practice, Practice

Let whatever happens happen ... by this I mean do not put undue stress on yourself by 'expecting' to see immediate results ... it will gel in time!

I've tried also PR'ing late ... was not too good for me ... I was too physically tired. Try changing your time to early morning ... get up 20-30 minutes earlier in the morning and do a session then.

On a closing note ... 'eyes and ears' are all that are required for successful PR'ing!!!

I was just thinking that we could take this to the next level. It would need a bit more faith, but could be quite interesting.

Put your hand on the dictionary, close your eyes, feel the information flowing into your subconscious, do all the same affirmations as with photoreading, and see how well you do compared with PRing!

To infinity and beyond!

HAHAHAHahahahahahahahaha LOL LOL

what???
OH.
You're serious!?

That's pretty crazy, man.

It would have to rely on more than intuition, though, no? Intuition is the subtle processing of sensory data entered by peripheral awareness? So, it would have to be some sort of psychic power? Perhaps 'put on the head' of the dictionary writer? Perhaps conduct a séance? Access his mind from a distance? It mentions in the Spring Forest section of LS that it is possible to send chi to someone by calling him first to identify his location--works over thousands of kilometers! I've read that you can also send messages to people via very long distances. If you can send, perhaps you can receive...

All in all, a very bold idea!

Laugh all you want, it would seem just as far fetched as photoreading to the average layman.

What did you say about mastering something?
"Have faith"

And realize that in photoreading, most of it is intution anyway. Certainly in the activation stage, where you are "drawn" to specific words or phrases that answer your questions or purpose.

Maybe you should listen to the Belief tape a bit more.

Keep it real.

Laughter is very important. I have to say, when I see myself, the things I'm doing, the things I'm talking about here--when I see myself through the eyes of others, I burst out into laughter--regularly. Teleportation? Telekinesis? Photoreading? Alkaline diet? The things we are discussing belong in the theatre of the absurd. (when looking from a conventional perspective). If someone were to tell me five years ago, that I'd be looking straight through a book in order to read it whole, I'd think they were mad!

For example, the first time I ever saw Tai Chi, I had no experience with meditation whatsoever. My friend was demonstrating. 20 seconds into it, we BOTH spontaneously burst out into laughter--paroxysms of laughter-- I couldn't breathe for several minutes!!! I almost died of asphyxiation. It was pretty serious... I mean.. funny.

As the Tao Te Ching says,
"When a foolish man hears of the Tao,
he laughs out loud.
If he didn't laugh,
it wouldn't be the Tao.."

Now, regarding the dictionary game without ever opening it previously...

What I meant by intution, you'd have to have seen it out of the corner of your eye sometime, no? The information would have to be in your brain somewhere in order for it to be called upon in the form of a subtle hunch or feeling.

Now, if you have no sensory data whatsoever of what is inside the dictionary...
Then we are talking about psychic abilities--beyond intuition. My thought was, how can you use psychic ability (if it exists) to know what is inside the dictionary?

You'd have to somehow either contact the author of the dictionary or someone who knew what was inside, no?

The only person that I've ever heard of that could do something like this was Edgar Cayce. He supposedly had access to some sort of universal consciousness. He used to put books under his pillow and read them that way.

Here's my take on that. He worked in a book store for many years, right. Well, I think that he PhotoFlipped many books over the years that he worked there. Just casually flipping a book, inputting the sensory data of the pages. Same with the books under the pillow--a little photoflip, plus, add in the tremoundous receptivity of a supremely religious and highly hypnotisable man and voila--dream activation/total recall.

Well, years later, under under hypnosis, turns out he has all this profound knowledge of how to cure people's maladies. Ask him a question--the answer comes. My postulation: could it be that this knowledge did not come from beyond his mind, but was merely the reawakening of photoflipped pages that were taken long ago in his bookshop days.

He also lost the use of his voice for several years. Without the ability to speak, his brain may have lost much of its left-brain dominance--switching over to using pictures and his visual intelligence rather than words.

Under hypnosis, he also spoke in different voices. Is it possible that he used the principle of 'putting on heads'? That's what Wenger did with Project Renaissance at first--hypnotised people to paint like Leonardo DaVinci or play the violin like a master--and it worked.

My question is:
Are we dealing with something "psychic?"--contacting or accessing something that is beyond the human cranium.

OR, are there other factors like, 1. loss of voice, 2. photoflipping, 3. highly suggestible/hypnotisible 4. borrowed genius under hypnosis.

Wenger says that everything that we are learning in universities we already know--have already picked up somewhere or another. He says that what we already know--what is already inside us at some level, would full MANY universities. That the knowledge capacity of the subconscious is 10 billion times greater than the conscious.
.
.
I don't know.
.
.
What Genius lurks in the minds of men...

Yes, I do believe that there is a universal consciousness out there, in some form or another. But before I get to that, I think we are underestimating the human potential. Science fiction today, science fact tomorrow. Thoughts are energy, I think we can agree on that. This energy is sent out into the universe in a form we are not attuned to. I mean that most people are not attuned to. A book is just a more concrete, easily distinguished form of this energy. The thoughts are out there, we don't really need the books. But we are not to that level yet. How to get to the paramount of information gathering? Good question. I would start with baby steps. first we learn how to understand body language and vocal tones. Then we understand spoken words, and moving on to written words through the conscious mind, then next we take a leap of faith, and transend into the realm of the imagination. Photoreading. Yes, photoreading, unconscious cognition of written words. Amazing stuff. So the next viable step would be unconscious cognition of unspoken, unwritten words. Of course, it would probably be easier to have your hand on the book, hell, even Jesus (no, I don't believe, but still a good example) laid hands on the sick. He could have (supposedly) healed from any distance, so why the laying on of hands? Because it's just plain easier. That energy does not have to travel so far, or be distorted, if that can happen by thought noise.

This sounds insane. Really, I have to get back to my studying before I completely lose my mind.

Live long and prosper, my son.

No offense, but before you go on speculating even more about how else the dictionary game could be played, could you possibly give me Your results when (if?) you played it in it's original humble form: by tedious page turning PRing?

Happyday

Tim,
You never cease to amaze me. Half of me wants to burst in laughter, the other half says, "hmmm".

There are two things that you are saying that sound dubious: (just two?)

1.) Thoughts as energy that can be picked up as one picks up radio waves.

Could you point me in a direction where I can read about this. The premise is interesting. A website perhaps? ...it doesn't have to be respectable.

2.) Comparing thought energy broadcasting to healing energy broadcasting. (w/ Jesus)

Healing energy is created by thought. As the chinese say, "The Mind creates Chi." But this healing energy is NOT thought energy. They are not the same thing. I'm not sure what a healer like Master Lin would answer if you asked him if he were psychic.

By the way, regarding Zen Masters or Yogis. If either of these types of people, who have reached the ultimate level of transcendence of which we 'know' man is capable, (and that's pretty damn high--higher than you or me could every possibly hope to attain) ever gained 'psychic' abilities and NOT mere intuitive abilities, then you have a supreme case in my book.

The idea that you could know something without logical inference or without intuitive feeling just blows my mind.

Tell me how its done to gain more of my credence.

On a similar note, I was listening to my headphones the other day and I heard what sounded like a CB radio discussion... at first I thought I was hallucinating, but I wasn't. They talked for a short while about a car wash--it came through from my computer. hahahah I'm sorry, I have to laugh. dear, oh dear

LOL!
this is turning out to be quite an entertaining discussion... hee hehe

DUDE! I can't concentrate anymore.

I can't stop laughing!!!!

The crazy thing is that I am actually willing to entertain the idea...

Let's ask a broad question:
HOW DO WE KNOW?

1. direct sensory input--'5 senses'
--requires proper functioning of the 5 sensory apparatus
2. reasoning--'if, then, therefore'
--uses conscious awareness of sensory input memory
3. intuition--'hunches, feelings'
--uses unconscious sensory input memory

4. ? psychic/divine knowledge
--'accessed' from the minds of others, from objects themselves, or from a universal consciousness which contains and collects all thought on the planet...

Our 4 components
1. senses
2. reason
3. intuition
4. spirit? psi?

Tell me more,
about number fore!

Dump your consciousness out on the screen; let's hear it all. This is fascinating.

(I can see Paul Scheele's next product: "ThoughtReading". )
