well I read the book and have been practicing for the last 1.5 week 'photoreading' 3 books a day.
My problem is that I cannot achieve photofocus, I never saw blip page, no matter how much I tried to defocus my eys. All the exercises in the book don't work for me, I still can't see blip page, and when I try to
look at 4 corners I achieve some kind of soft gaze but still when I photoread I consistently see lots of words consciously, I am not able to stop that.
Can anyobody recommend me new exercises, may url, so I could finally be able to see the blip or photofocus? It has been very frustrating so far...

To add to his question, I usually see the 4 corners and my hands quite well, but also have a hard time maintaining the blip page. Is it working by seeing only the corners and hands well?

It doesn't matter if you never see the blip page. The key is to learn to achieve the soft focus. What worked for me was:

1. Put an object on a coffee table that is in front of me. Bring the book up so that I could see the object above the top of the book. Open my field of view so that I see the object and the open pages of the book. This got me started.

2. PR several books a day for several weeks. This is where I really started to achieve the photofocus. I now try to see the room in my peripheral vision. If I can see beyond the book, my field of vision is sufficiently open and I'm looking beyond the book.

You want to have your focus on the other side of the book to ensure that you aren't focusing on the page. The repitition, more than anything else, helps to get you over wanting to see the text with hard focus. This is overcoming a habit that you've had for a very long time and it doesn't come easy. It was the repetition that helped me to finally accept the fact that I wasn't trying to read the book in the standard way and it was perfectly acceptable to NOT stare at the text. Sometimes now, when I catch myself focusing on the page, I'll try to imagine what I would see beyond the book if it weren't in the way. I then try to focus on that.

Great! Thats what i wanted to know. I have been putting something behind what im reading to focus on...meanwhile noticing my hands and the book in my periphery.
