I just bought the book and it should come in any day now. This question has probably already been addressed here, but I am new. Can you learn PhotoReading from just the book only? I could only afford the book and not the whole course so I was wondering. Thanks.

Use the search function on this forum, and you can find almost everything where you looking for.

I have the book 'only', and I can use the photoreading system! It works for real.

Use it as much as you can, and play with it. After a while you get the idea how it works, and how it works for you.

I have the book only as well but for some reason the pr system isnt working - i must be doing something wrong. i dont know... i think its the activation step

What do you mean with "it doesn't work"? What are your goals?

Perhaps you want to much in the beginning, full photographic memory for example....

The photoreading system works always if you take the steps. Activation is the step what is most difficult for most people.

'Normal reading' after the PR step, is ACTIVATION! ......

It is possible to do it more quickly:
Rapid read. A lot of info isn't important for your reading question, so skip it.

Much more quickly, use Superreading with dipping, (or skittering, or rhythmic perusal)

It's only searching (I mean finding) with your feelings: "hey, I feel there is something on this page, what is it...?" Look there, and find out, if 'nothing' go on with superreading,
Do it quick and in a fine rhythm.

Use your intuition, it's there!

I hope you get the idea of the system, most important is it that it is a relaxing, exciting game.

I don't do the full system in one time, but I do it in some days.

In the beginning it's recommended to use the PR system at books you really want to read, it must be a exciting book. This will motivate much more.

Relax, and play with it!

I got the book too for the same reasons.
I bough the book a week ago and yes I really do read three times faster. I am finding myself dipping back into old habits during the activation phase.

I have to admit - I WANT TO READ LIKE PETE!!! I saw him on TV holding the "Page Down" buttom of the computer while reading a whole books in seconds.

Is that really possible. Does anyone else out there do that? If I could read all the technical subjects i work with inn the computer engineering field like like. I could retire very soon.
