I have just finished all of tape 4. I super read the first book but it took me close to 45 minutes. I was doing a lot of dipping. I felt that there was a lot of important information that I didn't want to miss. However I caught some sections that mentioned only super reading a book for 20 or 30 minutes? How long is too long and how do I know if I'm dipping enough or too much?

One other thing that I wanted to mention is that I had a very vivid & crazy dream after photo reading my first book. When Paul Scheele mentioned in his book that dreams would become more vivid and we would remember more of them, I had no idea just how vivid. Also my head feels like I've given it a mental workout, much like my muscles feel when I've spent an hour at the gym.

I think that you should superread and dip until you feel that your purpose has been accomplished in reading the book. The point is that the mind does alot better if you do it in 20-30 minute spurts. Beware of overdipping. Only dip in if the words seem to draw you or "jump" off the page. That is your minds way of telling you that there is something there to edify your purpose.

Remember, study as much as you feel like you need to, but do it in short bursts with regular breaks.

If you have a general need to know more, but can't put a finger on it, then rapid reading is in order. I have photoread about 10 books in the 2 weeks since I finished the course, and I have to feel the need to rapid read.

thanks for the help. I wasn't sure if I was superreading and dipping too much or if I should have been able to superread and dip the whole book in 20 - 30 minutes. That helps.
