How is it possible to PhotoRead technical material, and still maintain a significant level of comprehension (90%), considering that technical works are usually filled with essential items (basically, the whole text book is essential). Additionally, I have heard about these super read and rapid read sequences, and I was thinking - how is it possible to even identify the gists, if the whole thing is necessary to know (wouldn't that be like normal reading then)? Also, when you're supposed to be stating your goals, how would you define a question if you want to know absolutely every item of significance? Can you say "I want to know what BLANK/XXX does?" Is there any way to make the material you gain from this PhotoReading process, everlasting? So, you will not have to keep redoing it the whole time? I mean, how could you go about preparing for tests w/ technical items? I do not own the home study course yet, but if I do overcome my skepticism, I will surely buy it soon.

You have asked many very good questions that I struggled with for some time. I finaly figured out how to get the system to work for me when going through text books. The system works beautifully for texts and I will never go back to reading text books the "normal" way that I used to before I learned the system. I am a chiropracter who has 14 text books full of information that researchers have discovered since I graduated around 11 years ago. I have some studying to do and will be able to easily comprehend a chapter with as little as 30 minutes and as long as 2 1/2 hours. This is a vast improvement over my previous performance. It used to take me a minimum of 3 hours (for an easy chapter) with half the comprehension I have now with the system I am now using. The system work if you learn it.

You build comprehension of the material in layers, as well as learning the material faster and retaining it easier and longer. And you will spend about 2/3s the time or less with the books as somebody using regular studying techniques. With highly technical material, it's not as focused on getting through it faster as much as making sure that the knowledge is securely retained - and readily understood. And don't forget layered comprehension!! Vital for learning.
