Since no one answered my previous questions I had to experiment on my own. I was having trouble keeping the blip page when turning pages. So I experimented on the stereogram on Page 42 of course study. While seeing the 3D-Image I would pass my hand in front of picture to obscure picture then move hand out of way. At first I would lose focus. But after about 30 minutes I could do it. This helped out with the blip page but I would still lose focus after about 3 page flips.

So I went looking out on the Internet for other stereograms. I found the following site that will create your own text based stereograms.

I was going to print them out on paper and make a book but they have a neat feature. When you select go button it would regenerate same stereogram with new color while slightly clearing screen. So I decided this would be good practice if I could keep the focus and see the stereogram instantly when it was regenerated. After about 30 minutes I could do it. The key was relaxing and diverging to white space outside of picture. Awesome I did about 200 clicks right after another without ever losing the image. I used the word COOL in capital letters, on large setting. Now I can photofocus on a book and never lose blip page. This was a great training aid for me so you might give it a try.

For the next experiment I think I'm going to create a Microsoft word document and create a single word stereogram and paste the stereogram image at the top of each page. Each stereogram would be a different word. Then you would flip through the word document a page at a time and read some type of saying through the stereograms. I don't know if its possible to do it but I won't know unless I try. I didn't think I could do the above until I practiced it awhile.

Well I tried the 2nd experiment of putting a different stereogram on each page of a word document and paging through the document. It was easy, no problems. Once I got into the photofocus state I could see any stereogram instantly. I happened to find the algorithms for generating a stereogram so I think I'm going to write a Windows program to generate random word stereograms from a dictionary import file that can quickly be viewed.

So now that I got the photofocus thing mastered it's time to start listening to the cassettes and trying out the photoreading course. Even though I haven't done the prepare, preview, activate, rapid reading, mind map steps I must have PhotoRead the Photoreading book about 10 times now while trying to master the blip page, page flipping. I wonder if I try activating it if I will start remembering tidbits of it?

Another interesting thing is in order to listen to the cassettes I had to go and buy a Sony Walkman cassette player. I haven't listened to cassettes in years. I didn't want to listen to the course cassettes until I mastered the blip page thing but I wanted to make sure the cassette player worked so I listened to the Memory Supercharger paraliminal tape. Just before I listened to it a friend of a friend called me on my cell phone. My cell phone has caller ID and I didn't recognize the number because they had never called me before. After the phone call I listened to the tape. Interesting experience but it didn't seem to relate to memory directly so I was somewhat skeptical. Anyway I thought I wonder if I can remember that phone number that I only saw on my caller ID for a couple of secs before I answered it. I closed my eyes and imagined the image of the numbers on the display and viola it came to me. Freaky you would have to know me that I am really bad at numbers or peoples names unless I say them out loud a couple of times.

Hey great site; have you tried passing your mouse pointer back and forth in front of the stereogram? Great practice for keeping focus...
