Do you pick out trigger words when you preview? If you pick out trigger words, then you can form your mind probing questions around the trigger words.
For example: You have a trigger word NEOLITIHC. You could then formulate this mind probing question: What kinds of stone implements were used in the Neolithic age? Just start thinking about that 1 trigger word & ask questions that interest <<< you <<<.
Chances are that the questions that interest you are the same questions that the teacher will also ask. Just use common sense & your interest.
Thing about PhRing is that you are encouraged to take control of your reading material. This means that you have to go from---What does the teacher want? ---to---What do i know about Neolithic man? What do i want to know about him? What interests me here?
Ask a few simple interesting questions & then just flip to the chapter & LOOK only for the answers to YOUR questions.
Soon you begin to get a feel for the material & it then gels.
